World of Warcraft: Dragonflightputs the players in Valdrakken – the new hub for the expansion – and a resourceful player pieced together a useful map that goes through all the major locations in the city.ThroughoutWorld of Warcraft’s long history, its expansion packs have always established new hubs for players to use and immerse themselves in. Ironforge and Orgrimmar got replaced by Shattrath withThe Burning Crusade, which in turn got replaced by Dalaran inWrath of the Lich King, and on it went untilShadowlandsintroduced the airport known as Oribos.

Conceptually speaking, Oribos had plenty of good ideas going for it. A compact, circular hub that took the best of Ironforge and the Shrines inMists of Pandaria, but it lacked a key ingredient: it had no soul whatsoever. It wasn’t a city of the Realm of Death – it was just an airport made for players to ferry them across the fiveShadowlandszones. Thankfully, it seems that Blizzard Entertainment took player feedback to heart and made Valdrakken into a proper expansion hub that radiates with atmosphere.

In anticipation ofDragonflight’s launch,World of Warcraftplayer Jojoejoe mapped out all the important spots in Valdrakken, and shared it with the officialWorld of Warcraftcommunity on Reddit. Perhaps the single most crucial change in Valdrakken compared to past expansion hubs is the return of Auction House services for non-engineers. Players no longer need to rely on coming across the Caravan Brutosaur, and can enjoy access to their auctions at their own leisure.

Much like its predecessor,Dragonflight’s new Great Vaultis located in the bank area of Valdrakken, and more importantly – close to both the flightmaster and the auction house. Moreover, the innkeeper and portals to Stormwing and Orgrimmar are also in the vicinity, allowing players to access all the most important amenities with ease.

Players won’t be able to access Valdrakken until the expansion launches at the end of the month, but thesecond stage ofDragonflight’s pre-patchwill unlock Dracthyr Evokers, as well as introduce the first dungeon of the expansion: the new wing of Uldaman. While it’s too early to tell ifDragonflightwill course-correctWorld of Warcraftafter the shortcomings ofShadowlandsandBattle for Azeroth, butDragonflightmight have a good shot.

World of Warcraftis available on PC.Dragonflightlaunches on November 28.
