Moreover,Dragonflightis lifting restrictions for three classes, allowing any standard or allied race to become a Mage, Rogue, or Priest. The expansion takes players to the mystical Dragon Isles, which has been a place of significant speculation and curiosity in theWorld of Warcraftcommunity since the game’s launch.

Dragonflight’s beta began on September 1, and it still remains in full swing. Unlike its earlier builds, Blizzard Entertainment has marked the latest one as a release candidate. Simply put: the nextWorld of Warcraftexpansion has gone gold. This is the build Blizzard is confident to launch the game with, and thoughDragonflightwill likely see hotfixes at release, the majority of changes to the game’s classes,Dragonflight’s new features, and available content will remain as they are.

One of the last things implemented in this release build was the inclusion ofDragonflight’s new Great Vault, located in Valdrakken. In addition to allowing Mythic Keystone players to earn higher item level rewards, the new weekly chest system also requires significantly less time investment to hit all its requirements compared toShadowlandsat launch. Coupled with a new loot system that brings back the best parts of Group Loot, earning gear inWorld of Warcrafthasn’t been this convenient in a long time.

Dragonflightis releasing around the same time of year asShadowlands, andWorld of Warcraftplayers may once again see a tense race to World First this close to the winter holidays. However, with Mythic coming out alongside Normal and Heroic raids, it will offer guilds an extra week to take down Raszageth, compared to the hectic schedule of Castle Nathria when Complexity Limit defeated Sire Denathrius on July 09, 2025.
