Minecraftfans are confused after “Minecraft 2” begins trending on Twitter. The firstMinecrafthassold more than 176 million copiesaround the world and theMinecraft 2tweets prompted some to wonder if developer Mojang had sneakily announced a sequel to the popular crafting game.
On Twitter, there is a huge number of tweets from users asking ifMinecraft 2is really happening. These tweets are all because of a post by an anonymous forum user who says that they have been fired by Nintendo. The user says that there will be a Nintendo Direct on November 6 and thatMinecraft 2will be one of the big announcements made by Nintendo.
Other leaks from the user are a new trailer forThe Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2, andRed Dead Redemption 2andCyberpunk 2077will be announced for the Nintendo Switch too.Grand Theft Auto 6is also a Nintendo Switch exclusive game, says the post.

The leak is most definitely a fake for a few reasons. The first being that CD Projekt RED has said thatCyberpunk 2077"probably" isn’t going to be released on the Nintendo Switch. The developer did suggest thatThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Switch launch left room for a potentialCyberpunk 2077Switch release, but any Switch version of the game won’t be revealed at the next Nintendo Direct.
It also seems highly unlikely thatGrand Theft Auto 6would be a Nintendo Switch exclusive game. There have been suggestions thatGrand Theft Auto 5is coming to the Switchbut most fans have wondered ifGrand Theft Auto 6would be a PS5 exclusive, not exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. If Rockstar really is going to makeGTA 6a much bigger game thanGTA 5, with higher quality graphics, the Switch probably won’t be able to run it.
However, the fakeness of the post is what’s helpingMinecraft 2to trend. Many of the tweets aboutMinecraft 2and the other leaked games are those that joke about the games. One Twitter user asked fake leakers to “stop please” and another posted the list with laughing crying emojis. Some users have also said that if the other games weren’t on the leaked list, they may have believed thatMinecraft 2is happening and would be announced at a Nintendo Direct. Microsoft and Nintendo didteam up on aMinecrafttrailer, but Minecraft 2probably isn’t going to be announced at the next Nintendo Direct.
