TheLast of Us 2controversy has subsided, with anyone still talking about the game likely being those who loved it. One such fan of the games created a heartfelt montage on Twitter filled with the most cheerful moments from bothThe Last of Us 2and the original game.
TheLast of Usfanbase contains a wildly talented group of gamers, with one fan evenremaking the sequel in a Studio Ghibli style. This latest montage comes from Anastasia, with the appropriate twitter handle @infamousellie, and features the song “Little Talks.” As the music plays, great moments such as Ellie’s “Take On Me” cover are shown.

As expected, there is plenty of Joel in the clip, as some of his most wholesome moments are shown within the forty-second video. Coming to play for Ellie at the start ofThe Last of Us 2, the iconic giraffe sequence, and Joel’s birthday gift for Ellie can all be seen in the clip. The edit is a good reminder of why so many people adore Ellie’s adoptive father, making it even more surprising thataGame of Thronesactor recently dodged questionsabout playing Joel.
There are just as many upbeat moments with Ellie and Dina in the clip. Their meeting and first kiss at the dance in Jackson can be seen, as well as the couple dancing with baby JJ at the farm when the game nears its conclusion. Intriguingly, players arestill discovering secrets on Ellie and Dina’s farm, an indication of just how much care was put into designing the area on the part of Naughty Dog.
The clip even includes moments with Abby, the most controversial character inThe Last of Usseries. With gamers so upset at the character that theytried to discredit Abby’s muscled-up physiqueby analyzing her workout schedule, it’s safe to say that a portion of the community despises the character. For the other half of the player base that appreciates Abby, however, they should enjoy seeing her bond with Lev over Alice.
The secondLast of Usshould be getting more updates, likely including a next-gen upgrade patch, so the discussion around the game should not be dying off anytime soon. With that discussion, hopefully, more great edits like this happy one from Anastasia continue to be released.
The Last of Us 2is available now on PlayStation 4.
