At some point, everyVampire Survivorsplayer has wished they could increase a weapon beyond level eight or had a way to level-up evolved weapons to make them even better. This new ability to limit break weapons works exactly as players would expect it to. Instead of a choice of Floor Chicken or a Big Coin Bag, when gaining a new level, the player now has the option of improving one of their weapons. Each new level gives the player a random selection of their currently held weapons to upgrade.

3How to Unlock Limit Break in Vampire Survivors

To unlock the ability to limit break their weapons, players need toobtain the Great Gospel relic. Getting this relic requires surviving more than 30 minutes in the Cappella Magna stage. This stage is one of the hardest in the game, mainly because of the bosses the player will face. This stage forces the player tofight the Drowner, Stalker, and Maddener. These variants of Death are incredibly tough opponents, and, if they’re not dealt with quickly, the player will be forced to take on all three of them simultaneously.

To kill these bosses quickly, the player can utilize the Rosary pickup items south of the starting point, orpick Christine, as the Pentagram can kill these three bosses in one hit. After the 30-minute mark, the player must fight the Ender. A fast-firing weapon like the Holy Wand (withthe Jail of Crystal arcana) can stop the Ender in its tracks, and makes this fight much easier. However, defeating the Ender isn’t necessaryfor obtaining the Great Gospel, with the player just needing to survive for longer than 30 minutes.

As when going up a level, the player is given a selection of their weapons to choose from when limit breaking is active. The boost for each weapon is either a +1% boost, +5% boost, or a time increase for the weapon’s duration.Stats that can be boostedinclude Might, Area, Amount, Speed, Pierce, Duration, Critical Chance (a 2.5% increase), and Chance.

1Final Thoughts

Tomake the most out of limit breaking, the player will want to refrain from picking up the Stage Items unless necessary. The more items the player needs to fully level, the less they will be able to limit break their weapons. Also, they should remember thatsome weapons don’t benefit from improvementsto some stats. The Holy Vespers is a good example of this, as improvements to duration do not affect this weapon, despite this being given as an option.

The player should also avoid keeping the last weapon or passive item slot open in the hopes of finding desired items. This will also shorten the time that the player has to limit break weapons. Finally, players should try toget the Crown passive itemif possible, as gaining levels faster equates to more limit breaking. It can also be useful to limit the weapon slots for a character to ensure that a particular weapon is given as a choice when limit breaking.
