OneTwitch streamerwho has been showcasingJump Kingsince the release ofBabe of Ascensionis a content creator named Mizkif. A few days ago, after putting nearly seven hours into the game, Mizkif accidentally lost all of his progress whenJump Kingunexpectedly restarted. The streamer sat stunned for a few seconds, turning to the chat for feedback on what exactly had happened. It turns out that the game’s keyboard command for “Restart” is set to Q by default on PC. Mizkif seems to have been playing with a controller, where the Q key was bound to a button too close toJump King’saction commands.

Realizing what had happened, Mizkif said, “That is just not fair.” The streamer then proceeded to rebind the keys on his controller and looked to see if there was perhaps a save of his progress, but he couldn’t find one. Not one to be discouraged for long, Mizkif jumped right back into the game, stating, “Yeah, I’m mad… Am I supposed to be ecstatic? That was seven hours of work gone. But I’ll get right up there. I love this game.” He played for another seven hours.

Jump Kingis atest of gamers' patienceand perseverance similar toGetting Over It,the game with a man in a pot that become extremely popular a few years ago. The player must jump their way up a tower in an attempt to reach the top, but one wrong move can cause the player to fall and lose sometimes substantial amounts of progress. To put it in perspective, Mizkif had been playing for close to seven hours and had only climbed 35 percent of the tower.
