Publisher Graffiti Games announced that Snoozy Kazoo’sTurnip Boy Commits Tax Evasionhas officially received a release date for PlayStation.Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasionwas released on all other gaming platforms in mid-2021. So far, it has accumulated mixed reactions from gamers.

ThisZelda-like single-player gamefollows an in-debt turnip who must fight his way through levels to avoid paying back a corrupt onion mayor and vegetable government. Players must maneuver the titular character Turnip Boy through various activities, like solving puzzles, exploring areas of the world, and harvesting crops to fight his enemies and evade his payments. A sequel,Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, is expected to arrive on PC and Xbox One next year.

Graffiti Games’ latest video upload showcased gameplay ofTurnip Boy Commits Tax Evasionalong with a release date of December 20 for PlayStation 4. There was no mention of whether the game would arrive on PlayStation 5. Hopefully, PlayStation players won’t have to deal with peskygameplay achievement bugsthat were a hassle on Xbox consoles. Though the main story achievements were not affected, players that wished to completeTurnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion’s story 100% encountered problems that prevented them from doing so. The issues have since been fixed via an update.

Not much has been revealed aboutTurnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion’ssequelso far, but the title speaks for itself. It does appear to offer a similar simple yet unique experience as its predecessor. The plot involves Turnip Boy joining up with a gang called Pickled Gang and aiding them in crimes committed. Players will have new weapons and enemies to fight, soTurnip Boy Robs a Bankwill offer a somewhat new take on the classicTurnip Boygame formula. Either way, the sequel is sure to add to the originality and fun goofiness found in the original title.

Also, Switch players have also mentioned the controls are a bit janky as well. Others have complained that it has too simple of a storyline and lacks in the dialogue department. With that in mind, players who are looking for a fun and humorous break from more serious and detailed games being released en masse lately might still want to check this one out.
