Class Skills
The Graveborn has two class skills to choose from. The first of these skills is called “Dire Sacrifice.“This skill sacrifices 40% of the user’s health when activated to create an AoE explosion of dark elemental damage. The attack deals 70 damage, and additional damage equal to 150% of the health sacrificed to use it. This means that Graveborn with a higher amount of health will deal more damage with this skill.
Since dark damage leeches life from enemies, this attack can easily restore the same amount of health that it costs to activate, as long as there are several enemies nearby. As a general rule, using this skill when it hits at least three enemies should offset the health cost of activating it.

The Graveborn’s second class skill is called “Reaper of Bones.“Reaper of Bones causes the player to deal extra dark damage (equal to 20% of the base damage) with all of their attacks, improves the efficiency of life leech by 25% (meaning that more health is restored from dark element attacks), and deals an ever-increasing amount of damage to the player while it is active.
If the player would die while this effect is active, they instead become invulnerable for a short period, regaining 20% of their health, and Reaper of Bones will end once the invulnerability effect wears off.

Playstyle
The Graveborn is at their best when surrounded by enemies to drain, using their pets and dark magic to keep themselves healthy and increase their damage output. With a wide array of powerful kill skills, the Graveborn gets deadlier the more enemies they kill.
Graveborn also gets several skills that improve the power of their pets, so multi-classing into another class that gets a pet will effectively double the effectiveness of those skills.
On the subject of pets, Graveborn gets the Demilich companion, which floats around dealing dark damage to foes. When their master casts a spell, the Demilich will follow up with a Hellish Blast, a homing elemental projectile whose elemental type matches the spell that triggered it.
Skills
Mortal Vessel (Tier 1):This skill increases the player’s maximum health and the efficiency of their dark magic. As discussed earlier, a higher amount of maximum health will make both of the Graveborn action skills more effective. Improving the efficiency of dark magic will make it easier to recover any HP lost from battle or as a cost for action skills.
Essence Drain (Tier 1):This kill skill speeds up the recharge rate of spells for 12 seconds whenever a foe is killed. Any player wishing to make heavy use of spells in combat will benefit greatly from the improved recharge rate this skill provides, making spells with long cooldowns much more effective.
Faithful Thralls (Tier 1):This skill boosts the player’s damage dealt for every companion they have (meaning pets, not other players), making this skill a must for any player deciding tomulti-class with Clawbringer or Sporewarden.
This skill also increases the speed at which companions respawn after death, making it easier to keep companions active in the heat of battle.
Sanguine Sacrament (Tier 2):This skill allows the Graveborn to recover HP whenever they cast a spell, acting as an excellent additional means of recovery after using their costly action skills.
Dark Pact (Tier 2):This skill simply increases the damage the player deals with dark magic attacks, making their dark element spells more powerful.
Harvest (Tier 2):This kill skill increases the damage dealt by all companions after a kill, allowing the player to further strengthen their pets during battle. Another excellent choice for players focusing on pets, especially when multiclassing with the Clawbringer or Sporewarden.
Dread Covenant (Tier 3):This skill allows the Graveborn to redirect some of the damagethey take onto their Demilich pet, allowing their pet to protect them from damage. Additionally, when the Graveborn’s health reaches 1, the Demilich will be sacrificed to restore some of the Graveborn’s HP.
After the Demilich has been sacrificed in this way, this skill goes on cooldown for 120 seconds. This skill is excellent for improving survivability in the event that the Graveborn loses more blood than expected.
Stain of the Soul (Tier 3):This skill causes all the Graveborn’s spells to deal additional dark damage. Since dark damage drains life, this makes all spells capable of restoring a small amount of health when they hit an enemy, helping the Graveborn sustain themselves in more prolonged battles.
Dark Hydra (Tier 3):This kill skill adds a chance for the Graveborn’s kills to summon a dark Hydra, which deals dark element ability damage to enemies around it. This makes for an excellent additional source of damage and healing during any fight. The chance for the skill to trigger is 60% with only a single point in the skill, making the probability of getting value out of the skill very high.
Ascension (Tier 4):This powerful kill skill increases the maximum health and spell damage of the Graveborn for 30 seconds after killing an enemy, stacks up to 10 times, and each kill refreshes the duration.
This skill, therefore, makes the Graveborn increasingly deadly the further into a fight they get, as long as they have a consistent supply of bodies to fuel their rampage.
Punishment (Tier 4):This skill grants the Demilich companion a chance of using Hellish Blast a second time immediately after using it. Hellish Blast is a special attack the Demilich performs immediately after its master casts a spell, creating a homing projectile that deals elemental damage of the same type as the spell that triggered it. This skill is excellent for stacking elemental damage on enemies.
Lord of Edges (Tier 5):This skill increases the Graveborn’s damage reduction and damage dealt as their health gets lower, making them harder to kill and much deadlier when their health is low. This skill is especially useful since the Graveborn has access to action skills that reduce their own HP, making it easy to meet the requirements of this skill at any time.
Blast Gasp (Tier 5):This skill adds a chance for any spell damage the Graveborn deals to cause an elemental explosion. The explosion deals elemental damage of the same type as the damage that triggered it, and cannot critically hit. This skill is an excellent way for players to add AoE elemental damage to their arsenal.
Morhaim’s Blessing (Tier 6):This skill serves as the capstone of the Gravelord skill tree and allows the player to activate all of their kill skills immediately whenever they cast a spell. Depending on skill selection, the player can cast a spell and immediately gain a spell recharge boost, increase maximum health and spell damage, summon a dark hydra, and/or increase companion damage. This skill can be even more dangerous when paired with kill skills from other classes, making it an excellent multiclass choice.
