Due to a glitch inThe Witcher 3, players are able to see what the stoic Witcher Geralt looks like with a buzzcut. While CD Projekt RED has been delving into other games, characters, and places, such as therumored Japan-inspiredWitchergame, there are still many players who go back to enjoyThe Witcher 3. Though it seemingly has fewer bugs and glitches thanCyberpunk 2077still does a couple of years after its launch, players will still come across ones that, while not game-breaking, definitely leave the famous Witcher to be looked at in a different light. One such glitch happened to occur to this player during the game.
While there are many options tocustomize one’s character inCyberpunk 2077, the same can’t exactly be said aboutThe Witcher 3. Geralt is a more established character, so trying to change much may make him seem less like how he is in the books. That being said, there are still options to customize Geralt and, in some way, personalize him to the player. One is the armor and weapons he equips, and the other is the hairstyle he can have. Most of the hairstyles one can give Geralt are on the longer side, fitting with his more rugged look.

However, one player got to see whatThe Witcher 3’s Geralt would look like with hair much shorter than the shortest hairstyle available. Posting to r/Witcher3, user SoccerDudeBob uploaded a photo showing Geralt with a buzzcut, saying it was due to a glitch. According to some users in the comments, this glitch is possible through the use of photo mode. One way to do so is by getting on a boat, accelerating, and entering photo mode, while it may also be possible by changing his hair through console commands in photo mode.
In the comments, many made their jokes about how Geralt looks, saying that he looks like certain characters or even real people. Funnily enough, this isn’t the first glitch that changes Geralt’s hair, as there are multiple reported glitches with his locks, like whenGeralt’s hair turns black instead of the usual white.
It is currently unknown whether any of thenewWitchergames coming upwill include more options to customize one’s character, no one knows yet. While CD Projekt RED has definitely done a great job in not just the hairstyle choices, but overall customization in general withCyberpunk 2077,there’s always room to improve. With new games in the works, there’s hope that there is a bigger font with which players can express themselves through their in-game avatars.
