As you meet more and more NPCs inThe Garden Path, you’ll find that each of them needs something during your game. One of these NPCs is named Augustus, and he will be one of the first NPCs you meet.
Augustus gives you a “knife,” which is actually just half of a pair of sheers. If you want to be able to harvest most of the plant life in thisfarming game, you’ll need these. But the other half of the sheers has been lost, and you may have some trouble finding it.

Where to Find Augustus in the Garden Path
There aren’t any guaranteed places to find Augustus; he just kind of wanders around the forest. You may want to try looking to the east of the Community Centre; he may start off there during Day 1 or Day 2 of Spring in thiscozy game. Once you find him, he will show up on the map as a white NPC bubble that you can scroll over. All NPCs that you have already met will show up on the map this way.
Where to Find the Other Half of the Secateurs
The other half of the sheers can be found in the Timber Coppice in thiswholesome indie title, near the Community Centre. The map will have a big yellow circle in the general area where you have to look, but the thing you are looking for is very small and kind of blends in if you don’t know exactly what it looks like. Above is a screenshot with the item circled in black to make it easier to spot.
As you can see, it is located west of the Community Centre where the decorative fork is. Look directly west of the Stash in this area, right by the stump. It’s a little red thing on the ground. It’s pretty easy to walk right over it and not even notice it since it’s so small. Now that you have the other half, return to Augustus, and then ask him to put it back together again. He will get them working (barely), and give them back so you can now clip all sorts of items you haven’t been able to up to this point. Use the right click or the Y button on a controller to open up the harvesting menu and press E or interact to use the sheers on whatever plant is under you.
