Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewas officially unveiled last year at DC FanDome, but fans have had to wait for a long time to see gameplay. It was previously confirmed thatSuicide Squadwould be featured at The Game Awards, and developer Rocksteady has finally unveiled its first official gameplay trailer.
Suicide Squadis an open world action-adventure game set in Metropolis and takes place afterthe events ofBatman: Arkham Knight. It has a big focus on co-op, but can also be played solo with AI partners. As the name suggests, the story revolves around killing members of the Justice League. Key members of the Justice League, including Superman and Green Lantern, are under Brainiac’s control, and it now falls on the group of unlikely heroes to save the world.

The trailer ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguebegins by confirming that Flash has also been brainwashed, and players have been tasked with killing him. The video goes over some of the unique abilities of all four playable members ofSuicide Squad- Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark. The action-packed trailer gives a glimpse of the sheer variety of weapons and moves available to the group, before ending with what look likes a final confrontation with Flash.
It looks likeSuicide Squadoffers a ton of movement options that will allow players to quickly traverse the open world. Deadshot is able to hover and fire at enemies at the same time, while Harley Quinn gets a grapplehook, which seems to be a part of every new release these days. Similarly, both Captain Boomerang and King Shark are able to use their abilities to smoothly move from place to place.
This trailer should ease some concerns that arose due tolack of gameplay footage fromSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The combat looks fast-paced and frantic, while the traversal abilities will help in quickly moving between encounters. It looks like all members will have their own unique play-style, and fans can choose between whoever resonates with them the most. This is a big plus for all solo players as they can freely switch between all of the playable characters.
The Flash also made an appearance in the story trailer ofSuicide Squad, which was released at DC FanDome 2021. There have been some trulymemorable boss fights in theArkhamand it will be interesting to see how Rocksteady designs an encounter against Flash.
