Summary
Jujutsu Kaisenis one of the most recent hit anime series and a worldwide sensation, ever since the airing of its season 1 back in 2020. The manga forJujutsu Kaisenis currently still ongoing with over 20 volumes under its belt. Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, the manga began serialization in 2018 and has, since then, continued to be a fan-favorite.
Jujutsu Kaisenis a story that followsthe main character, Yuji Itadori, as he is forced to integrate into a school for Jujutsu sorcerers. His goal is to find and consume all the fingers of a powerful curse named Ryomen Sukuna in an attempt to destroy him. The story has introduced an array of talented sorcerers since its debut, and with them, the author has introduced some incredibly powerful ones.
Updated on June 08, 2025, by Rei Penber:Jujutsu Kaisen continues to introduce fans to powerful sorcerers one after another, and the Shinjuku showdown Arc, which is currently going on, has completely flipped the opinion of fans when it comes to who the strongest sorcerers are. In this arc, fans were able to see the best of quite a lot of sorcerers, which is what helped them get a proper understanding of the many sorcerers that existed in the JJK world.
While this list already goes over some of the strongest sorcerers that fans have seen over time, now, the author has shown the power level of some other individuals, which makes them worthy of being included in the list. As such, this article has now been updated.
22Nanami
Kento Nanami is a character who made his debut in manga chapter 18 and anime episode 8. He is a graduate of Tokyo Jujutsu High and is ranked as a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer.
He is a powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer, being able to fight and hold back a Special Grade Curse, notably Mahito. He is a very precise fighter, using techniques like the ‘Ratio Technique,’ which allows him to divide his target into 10 pieces.
21Atsuya Kusakabe
Atsuya Kusakabe is a character that the fans did not get to see much of until the later part of the Shinjuku Showdown arc. In this arc, he finally showcased his level of skill, and he got the chance to test it against Sukuna. This was quite an exciting battle for the fans, and for the very first time, his true strength was revealed. According to Gojo, Kusakabe is the strongest Grade One sorcerer, which is quite impressive.
Furthermore, even Mei Mei and Nanami himself agree with this statement. In battle, he showcased immense mastery over skills such as Simple Domains. His range of a Simple Domain is absolutely incredible, and the attacks that he launches while his enemies are inside his domain are impeccable. He was even able to cut Sukuna all across his body, which is a magnificent feat. At the same time, inside of a simple domain, he can easily dodge the attacks of his enemies, as long as he can read them. While he is certainly not the strongest sorcerer, he is certainly one worthy of praise. Unfortunately, in the battle against Sukuna, he was doomed from the beginning as he certainly would not have been able to defeat him. Still, he delivered a decent performance that solidified him as one of the strongest Grade One sorcerers, if not the strongest.
20Nobara
Nobara is one of the main characters inJujutsu Kaisenand her technique is something fans are very well familiar with. Nobara is extremely skilled, having been able to match the power of Yuji Itadori on quite a few occasions. Her strength is such that she can even hold her own against a Special Grade Curse, which is very rare for aGrade Three Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Her understanding of Cursed Energy is also incredible, given that she has had no problems exorcizing even some difficult Curses. By utilizing her Curse Energy with the Straw Doll Technique, Nobara can hammer her enemies into oblivion. In fact, she was even able to damage Mahito, which is a very difficult thing to achieve. Another testament to her skill is the fact that she was able to use Black Flash, which is incredibly difficult to pull off.
19Miguel
Miguel is a very powerful sorcerer that fans got to see inJJKZero. This individual was able to fight against Gojo to quite a degree and impress against him. Even the author has called him extremely strong on many occasions in the past. Miguel is a monster in combat, and more recently, he was seen entering battle against Sukuna. In this battle, Miguel showcased incredible agility and power, managing to land blows on Sukuna as well as dodging his powerful attacks one after another.
The author has described Miguel to be a sorcerer who could fight Gojo on an equal footing, and regardless of how true that is, Miguel certainly deserves to be included in a conversation of the strongest sorcerers.
18Choso
Choso is a Death Painting that fans were introduced to and the Shibuya arc. He is quite a magnificent fighter, and fans have seen him utilize his amazing powers on many occasions already. Choso might not be a traditional sorcerer, however, his skills with cursed energy are absolutely insane.
He can make use of blood manipulation, and fans have seen him manifest powers such as Piercing Blood, as well as Supernova in many battles. He can also improve his body by making use of Flowing Red Scale, among other techniques. Overall, Choso is amongst the few powerful individuals who are worthy of the special grade rank. He has shown enough skill to stand his ground against Sukuna and not fall as easily as some others. That alone makes him a very powerful sorcerer, and one worth being included in the conversation for the strongest sorcerers to exist in the series.
17Takako Uro
Uro is an ancient sorcerer who existed during the Golden Age of Sorcery. She is said to be one of the strongest from this era, and her skill is such that she was even able to hold her own against the likes of Yuta. She possesses the power of Sky Manipulation. Using this power, she can manipulate the sky and the space around her as if it were a tangible sheet. Takako Uro’s powers are such that even Sukuna would be wary of them, as seen with Thin Ice Breaker.
Her cursed energy output is absolutely immense, and at the same time, she also possesses a domain expansion that the fans have not seen yet. No matter which way fans look at it, Takako is a monstrously powerful sorcerer and one that absolutely deserves to be included in the conversations for the strongest sorcerers.
16Takaba
Fumihiko Takaba is a character who debuted in chapter 146 of the manga. He is a failing comedian who was turned into a sorcerer to participate in the Culling Game by Kenjaku.
When resolved to entertain, his strength increases dramatically– reflecting his character as the entertainer he is. His ‘Comedian’ ability proved to be troublesome to someone as powerful as Satoru Gojo, and his hand-to-hand combat skills are very impressive as well.
15Uraume
Uraume is an incredibly powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer who has been around for quite a long time. She is one of Sukuna’s very loyal followers and has some connections with Kenjaku as well. Although a curse user, her control over cursed energy is incredible. Uraume possesses the cursed technique of Ice Formation using which she can manipulate cryokinetic powers. She can freeze anyone within an instant and break off all their limbs.
She’s also an incredible user of reverse cursed technique, although not the most skilled in this aspect. Nonetheless, she is strong enough to fight against Hakari and hold her own. She is someone who has Sukuna’s respect as well and that in itself goes to show how incredibly skilled she is when it comes to jujutsu sorcery.
14Hiromi Higuruma
Hiromi Higuruma is a character who fans get to see in the Culling Game arc. This character was one of the many who awakened a cursed technique, thanks to Kenjaku’s grand plan and force activation through idle transfiguration. Hiromi Higuruma is an incredibly talented user of Jujutsu sorcery. Despite not having had cursed energy for that long, he managed to master its basics rather quickly and even learn advanced arts.
He’s the only character that caught Kenjaku’s attention from those who received cursed techniques and that statement speaks for itself. He’s a shikigami user and makes use of Judgeman, primarily through his Domain Expansion, called Deadly Sentencing. Inside this domain, nobody can resort to violence and the target can be put on a trial. If found guilty, they can either be executed using the Executioner’s Sword, or even have their cursed technique confiscated, both of which are very terrible outcomes.
13Megumi
Megumi Fushiguro acts as one of the main charactersinJujutsu Kaisen. He made his manga debut in the very first chapter and also the very first episode of the 2020 anime. Along with his fellow classmates, he is a first-year Jujutsu sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Megumi is a grade 2 sorcerer and a descendant of the Zenin Clan– meaning he uses abilities inherited from them, such as the Prized 10 Shadow Technique. He is known to have massive potential.
