There is no central core story as the survivor team in multiplayer has to just collect pages to vanquish evil from returning. That’s the basic premise of most of the game, but there is still a lot more players can learn before hitting start.
8Headphones Are A Must
Monsters can come out of anywhere inEvil Dead: The Game. That’s why it is important to invest in a good pair of headphones. A headset would be better so that players could communicate with their fellow co-op gamers. However, understandably some players don’t like using headsets in multiplayer games.
Still, putting on a headset will at least help with detecting enemies nearby. That’s why it is a must-have. It’s also not a bad idea to save this game for nighttime to get in the mood more properly. Also, headphones will help players hearBruce Campbell’s sweet voicemore clearly.
7Don’t Forget About Fear
Players have three meters they need to worry about. There ishealth, which is an obvious standard for any video game be it multiplayer or single-player. There isstaminathat dictates when players can run and attack. Then there isfear. Being overwhelmed by enemies will increase the last meter significantly.
Players need to light fires to calm their bodies down and thus decrease this meter. Be on the lookout for lanterns or fire pits. If fear gets too high, then that player will get possessed by demons.
6Save Ammo, Try Melee
There are various weapons in the game and they all have tiered ranks. It turnsEvil Dead: The Gameinto a bit of a looter game even though these weapons aren’t permanent. Players are going to stumble upon more melee weapons than guns.

That makes guns a rare commodity that should be used sparingly. That’s because ammo is also hard to find. Save pistols and shotguns for when the team is getting completely overwhelmed by demons. Also, aiming for the legs and then finishing them off with a melee weapon is a sound strategy.
5Single-Player Missions Have No Checkpoints
Some players who are considering buying this horror title might not be aware thatEvil Dead: The Gamehas a single-player campaign. Most of themfocus on Ashbut a few of the episodes are based on secondary characters like from the TV show.
Like the multiplayer matches, these missions must be completed in one run. There are no checkpoints. If players die then that is it, time to restart from ground zero.These missions becomeeasier after a few deaths. They are similar to a roguelike in this way or more like an old-school arcade experience.
4You Can Game With All Your Friends
One of the biggest features players may not be aware of is thatEvil Dead: The Gameenablescrossplay across all platforms. For example, someone on a PS4 can play with someone on a PC. There are no limitations. It’s a big step forward for co-op and multiplayer experiences.
Knowing that before jumping in might make it easier for agroup of friendsto decide what platforms they want to check out. They aren’t going to be forced into any corners. Things might be easier for communication on one platform over another, but that’s what Discord is for.
3Stay Close To Your Team
If players don’t want to use a headset and talk toother co-op survivorsin a match then they should at least stay close. The aforementioned tip about the headphones is a good idea too. Hearing someone else give orders, for example, can help make victory a more realistic possibility.

Staying close to the party will ensure everyone is safe. Getting a car will help too since most vehicles will hold four players. It’s a bit hard to navigate down the winding roads on the map, but at least it guarantees everyone is safe behind metal walls.
2Running Is Okay, But Don’t Abandon Your Team
There is no need to fight every monster that appears on the map. The most important thing is finding the map and then securing the ancient dagger and pages. That means it’s okay to run away from enemies to get to these goals faster. Don’tbe a co-op partnerthat abandons their team members though.
If they choose to stay and fight, help them. If they die because you ran away, that’s going to bring the whole team down. There is strength in numbers, which is another obvious statement for a multiplayer game likeEvil Dead: The Game. It should be reiterated though.
1Don’t Forget To Level Up
Chests will have pink bottles of fluid, but the tutorial doesn’t do a good job of explaining what these vials do. The basic breakdown is that these bottles will help level up characters. Players can increase health, weapon damage, how safe they are from fear, and so on. Increasing one stat will take away one vial of pink liquid. It is as simple as that.
The game doesn’t pause when in a multiplayer session. So, always verify to find a secluded area before trying to level up. Just be aware that this mechanic is here. In the chaos, it can be easy to forget.
