A few missions down into the United Colonies questline inStarfield,players will get sent to the Narion system to search for a certain robot who might hold the key to stopping the impending Terrormorph apocalypse.War Relicsis a little lengthier than most other quests in the game, and it’s best to come prepared for the long run.

Despite its length, War Relics is still fairly straightforward. There are a few important points of interest here that contain goods as well as optional objectives that can provide some additional XP. This guide will cover all of these to helpStarfieldplayers fly through this quest a little faster.

Starfield: War Relics Quest Guide

The first few stretches of the War Relics quest involve visiting and speaking withHadrian Sanon. She’ll give players a rundown on what they need to do following the Terrormorph attack on the New Atlantis Spaceport and willintroduce Vae Victisinto the grander scheme of things. Specifically, she tells players tofind Kaiser, a member of the UC Xenowarfare division who’s been missing for some time.

To paint a clearer picture of this quest, here are all the objectives players need to accomplish:

Look for Kaiser in Niira

Players should go toNiira in the Narion system(northeast of Alpha Centauri) and land on1-of-a-Kind Salvage. Gel, the proprietor, has some info on Kaiser’s location, but he’ll only part with it if players give him1000 Credits(675 if they successfully persuade him).

Kaiser is inside the Syracuse, a ship stuck somewhere in the Mech Fields. Luckily, the trek there won’t take long at all sincethe Syracuse is approximately 300 meters north of the salvage depot. The route there is home to some high-level Sirens, andthe incredibly corrosive atmospherewon’t be kind to unwitting explorers. Players can also grab theTrickshotpistol on top of one of the ruined mechs near the depot, the location of which is highlighted in the above image.

Repairing Kaiser

Upon arriving at the Syracuse, players will find Kaiser covered inHeatleeches. Getting rid of the pests will cause the robot to ask for aMicrocellto power its systems back up. Players will then need to return to the depot and eitherpurchase one from Gelor make one themselves by collecting parts out in the wasteland. The former is the fastest way to go about this, but it willset players back about 11,000 Credits. Meanwhile, the latter will take longer but is more rewarding as a result.

Gel will give the players coordinates to where the needed Microcell parts can be found. In exchange, he will ask thatall spare mech partsbe sold to him. All the mech husks will be marked with quest markers, so they shouldn’t be difficult to find.

Starfield War Relics Unit 99

Finding parts is highly recommended since the whole loot run takes no more than a few minutes. It’ll also net players some extra Credits as well as some ammo. However, despite Gel’s condition to sell spare parts to him, players can simply keep the components they find for themselves since they are quite rare.

Disarm Unit 99

After getting a Microcell, players will then need to return to Kaiser and help him “disarm” Unit 99, the last xenoweapon on Niira. There’s just one problem: a squad of Ecliptic mercs are standing in the way. Kaiser will suggest a full-frontal assault, though players candeal with the mercs stealthilyby telling the robot to wait.

The mercenaries are very dangerous, and the toxic atmosphere in the Mech Fields will only complicate things even more. There’s a good chance that a high-level merc will be in the camp, especially if players are playing on Hard or Very Hard. The good thing here is that Unit 99 doesn’t discriminate, and it will attack everyone in sight.

Once players deal with everything in the camp, they can report back to Hadrian in the Red Devils HQ to proceed with the next step of the anti-alien operation.
