As the first major city that players will visit inStarfield, there’s a lot that can overwhelm players with New Atlantis. Once players get access to their first ship inStarfield, it’s a great idea to head straight to New Atlantis, which can be found in the Alpha Centauri System on the planet Jemison. Once players land, they will see what the 24th century has in store for them, in a sprawling city that is easy to get lost in.

Luckily, this guide will seek to serve newStarfieldplayers the answers they seek and provide information regarding all New Atlantis vendors, locations, quests, and points of interest that could be useful to those who are taking their first steps into this larger world. As the capital of the United Colonies, andhome to Constellation, players will be spending a lot of time on New Atlantis, so it’s best to learn its districts, underbelly, and everything in between.
How To Get To New Atlantis
Once players begin their journey intoStarfield, Barrett will give players his ship and send them off to Alpha Centauri with Protocol Indigo in place. This means that players have no choice but to head to the Alpha Centauri system. From here, they will easily be able to locate New Atlantis, which can be found on planet Jemison. It’s worth noting for future reference, that this is a United Colonies space, which means players will be scanned for contraband, and have their shipped scanned for fugitives, meaning if players come back here as a wanted person, prepare to pay the fine, go to jail, or fight to escape.
Spaceport
The Spaceport is the first entry point of the city. When players land on the planet, their ship will always land here, waiting on the landing pad for the player to return and take off once more. Players will always land their ship at Landing Pad A, and once they leave the ship, they can find an assortment of goods in this district alone, starting with the Ship Technician which can be found directly in front of the ship, along with a ramp that leads players down into the city.
A video showcasing the Spaceport district can be seen below:
Spaceport Storage Lockup
Directly behind the player ship, players will be able to find the Storage Lockup facility. This is where players can find their contraband, but to access it, players will need to access the Storage A building with a Digipick, which requires Advanced Lockpick skills. Guards regularly patrol here, so it’s best to do so whilst in stealth.
Ship Technician
In front of the player’s mighty vessel, a Ship Technician will wait. This Ship Technician is available day and night and will serve the player well in terms of space travel and combat. The Ship Technician can repair the player’s ship if it is in need of repairs, although that costs Credits. Players can also purchase new parts, upgrades, and unique ships from the New Atlantis Ship Technician.
Security Checkpoint
As players make their way down the ramp from their ship, they can find a security booth in the center. This booth shows any outstanding bounties that have been placed on the player by the United Colonies. There’s also a self-service bounty kiosk and mission board near here.
UC Security Office
Opposite the shops, players will find the large UC Security Office building. Inside, players can find Sergeant Yumi, who is recruiting for new security officers. This will start theKeeping the Peace quest. Also inside, is the jail cell where players might end up if they have a bounty. There’s also a Va’Ruun Zealot here named Mir’za, who cannot be freed but plays a part in the story to come.
The Viewport
Players can find a relaxation area in The Viewport, which acts as a bar and lounge. Players can find the lounge run by Nyssa Marcano, where players can purchase some aid items. Players can also pick up theDistilling Confidence questfrom her. Inside the Viewport, players can scout for potential crew members for their ship, although they’re not that great. There are also named characters that can be hired for a few thousand Credits.
12,000 Credits. Can be Persuaded for a discount.
Marika Boros
Shotgun Certification Tier 1, Ballistics Tier 2, Particle Beam Weapon Systems Tier 1.
Sharpshooting Tier 1, Sniper Certification Tier 2, Marksmanship Tier 1.
13,500 Credits. Cannot be Persuaded for a discount.
The last notable addition to the Viewport is the Hunter, who will be leaning against a wall. Players can talk to this mysterious character to dabble in philosophy, and the Hunter will leave afterward.
Jemison Mercantile
This general goods store will serve as a vendor for everything the player needs if they don’t feel like heading to the Trade Authority. Inside, players can speak to Amoli Bava to shop till they drop. Jemison Mercantile holds many items, from resources, and aid, to weapons and ammo. There’s even a unique pistol located here called the Ace Sidearm. The last notable aspect of Jemison Mercantile is the shopper Samson Cabrail, who when spoken to, will ask players to embark onThe Art Dealer questfor them.
TerraBrew Coffee
Just next to Jemison Mercantile, players can find the TerraBrew Coffee chain. This shop is near the elevator that leads players to the waterfall and the Well, but inside they can find specialized beverages from the TerraBrew Employee. Players can also find Guillame Degarmo. Talking to this character can also give them theGem Jealousy quest. If players havetold the Adoring Fan to get lost, they can find him here drinking coffee, waiting for his hero to return.
New Atlantis Transit
Down the path from TerraBrew Coffee, players will see the NAT system, which is how players will be able to quickly travel to the remaining districts of New Atlantis. Also in this location, is where the Adoring Fan will try and find the player, but the Hero Worshiped trait is required for that.
Commercial District
Taking the NAT to the Commercial District, players will be able to find the offices and corporations that keep the city in business. Just outside the NAT is another TerraBrew Coffee shop, but this smaller venue doesn’t hold much excitement. If players don’t want to take the NAT to the Commercial District, then they can find it to the left of New Atlantis after arriving at the MAST District.
This video showcases the points of interest in the Commercial District:

Settled Systems News Networks
Located to the left of the NAT, players can find the sprawling building of galactic journalism with the SSNN building. Here, players can speak to Nadia Muffaz to begin the Light in the Darkness quest. This is a valued location, as players can share their adventures with Nadia for some Credits. There’s also the famed host of SSNN, David Barron, who watches from the window inside.
Valberg
Just opposite the SSNN building is Valberg, which may seem empty, but inside is an elevator that leads players to the Argos Extractors offices. Players might recognize this name, as this is the company that hired them to be a miner in the first mission. Sadly, there isn’t much to do here butreport the pirate attack. No compensation is offered, of course.
Whetstone
To the right of the Valberg building, players can find Whetstone, a small yet expensive restaurant where players can buy food and drink for aid items from Alara Katrango. The food here, although a tad pricier, has more healing effects and temporary bonus additions.
Infinity Ltd
RELATED:Starfield: Best Things To Do In New Atlantis
Just across from the NAT station is Infinity Ltd. This building holds Dezi Zhang, who doesn’t allow visitors, and access to the elevator is restricted, meaning players cannot do much here.
Enhance!
Attached to the Infinity Ltd building is Enhance! Which is a chain of cosmetic vendors that can be found across the galaxy. At Enhance! Players can change their look for a humble fee of 500 credits. Players can change their appearance, pronouns, and name, but not their traits and background. At this Enhance! Building, players can find theBeautiful Secrets questfrom Warner Connell.
Outland
Following from the Enhance! Building, players can locate Outland, a shop that requires its own loading interior. It’s small here, and players can talk to Cornelius Townard to purchase an assortment of items, including weaponry and ammo.
GalBank
The last shop on the row is GalBank, located on the edge of the Commercial District. This green building has ATMs where players can steal Credits, as long as they have Advanced Lockpick skills. Inside, players can find the bank teller, Landry Hoillifield, who can set players on some debt collection quests beginning withDue in Full. There’s also an elevator to the GalBank Archives, but this is restricted if players do not need to be there. It’s worth noting that outside GalBank is a Ryuijin Industries kiosk, which advertises jobs positioned at Neon, which begins theBack to the Grind quest.
UC Distribution Center
Opposite and to the right of GalBank is the UC Distribution Center. This large store is where players can buy and sell all sorts of goods from and for the United Colonies. Simplyspeak to Wen Tsengto go through this vendor’s inventory. She is stocked with some pricey and unique weapons, including the N67 Smartgun, and the Rapidshot Shotgun.
MAST District
At the center of New Atlantis, lies the MAST District. It’s accessible by the NAT, but they can also find it in the middle of the map. By the NAT system, players can find Donna Rain, whom players can give a TerraBrew coffee. This area is named that way thanks to the fact that it holds Military, Administration, and Science Triumvirate buildings. It’s also home to the UC Vanguard building, as seen by the giant needle structure. Divided in this district are garden areas, with old and natural trees that add a sense of beauty to the bustling city. Outside the NAT station, players can find a large tree, along with Kelton Frush, who gives players theA Tree Grows In New Atlantis quest.
This video details the areas of interest in the MAST District:

MAST Building
Coming out of the NAT station, players can head up to the large building towering over the city. This is the United Colonies headquarters, and players can find a recruiting officer, Commander John Tuala, who will ask if players want to join the UC Vanguard Faction with the Supra Et Ultra quest. Joining the UC Vanguard is how players will be able to access the many floors and rooms of this building.
The Lodge
The Lodge belongs to the Constellation and can be found in the far outskirts of the MAST District. It’s overrun by nature, but still remains a modest and beautiful building once entered. Inside, players can find their new family, as well as a room for them to rest in. In the center, lies the Artifact Collection, where players can place their found Artifacts as they progress through the main quest. There’s also the Constellation Guide 01 magazine, which adds permanent buffs to the player.
Armistice Archives
Near opposite to the MAST building, players will find the Armistice Archives, which acts as a museum to show the war and subsequent peace between the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective. The two factions were involved in a war, and history can be found here, along with the Archives room needed for the UC Vanguard Questline. Outside, players may find Nilesh Sherazi to start theOlive Branch quest.
Aphelion Realty
Close to the Armistice Archive, players can find Zora Sangweni, a character that can allow players topurchase a home in New Atlantis, as long as they have earned their citizenship. This requires players to complete the Vanguard quests. After, players can buy a home in The Well for 30,000 Credits. Just outside the Aphelion Realty, players will find the memorial flame, dedicated to those who lost their lives in the war.
Freestar Collective Embassy
Close to attached to the Armistice Archives building, players will find the Freestar Collective Embassy. Inside, players will be able to find the Freestar Collective Ambassador, but only if they progress with the UC Vanguard quests. Otherwise, this building doesn’t offer much use.
Sanctum Universum
Religion is an important factor inStarfield, and as players find the Sanctum Universum, they will discover why. Just outside this building, players can locate Keeper Aquilius, and near him is Marcus Lestari, who will provide players with a religious book to those interested, starting theAn Invitation quest.
Va’Ruun Embassy
At the edge of the MAST District, and perhaps for good reason, the Va’Ruun Embassy is located. This Embassy is almost attached to the Commercial District of New Atlantis, but the building serves no purpose other than a condemned and abandoned location due to the current war with the worshipers of the Snake God. This building does come into play during the UC Vanguard quests.
Residential District
To the right of the city, or at the Residential District NAT system, players will land at the Residential District, which is where they can find an abundance of shops, apartments, and even their parents. Starting from the NAT system, players can head right to find their first area of interest.
Use this video for a visual guide on the Residential District:

Pioneer Tower
Pioneer Tower is a block of apartments where players can find their parents inStarfield. Provided that they have the trait to do so of course. Otherwise, there’s the Dawn’s Roost coffee shop where players can buy some aid items from Royce Elgin. There’s also theTerror Brew questif players talk to Marieff Sutherland here. It’s also worth noting that the patio holds The New Atlantian 03 Magazine.
Chunks
Next to the Pioneer Tower is Chunks, a strange and futuristic food emporium where players can buy meals to go, as well as a few too many snacks. Players can purchase these from the Chunks Employee which act as aid items.
Mercury Tower
Another apartment building, Mercury Tower doesn’t serve much use to the player. There is a deluxe penthouse apartment, but with restricted access, players will have to move on to find somewhere else to live.
Centaurian Arsenal
Centaurian Arsenal is all about guns and ammo. Talking to Anya Griffon, players can pick up theunique Marksman’s AA-99, along with a few other sorts of ammunition and guns. There’s a powerful arsenal waiting to be purchased here, provided players have the Credits.
Athena Tower
One residential complex that is off-limits to players is Athena Tower. They can walk inside, but there isn’t much to see, nor accessible elevators.
Apollo Tower
Across the entrance of Centuarian Arsenal is another apartment building. The floor is inaccessible here, making it a nice addition, but an empty one with no exploration necessary.
CJ’s
Following down from the NAT railway, players can locate CJ’s, run by Curtis Julien himself. This “open 49 hours” building sells all sorts of food products, allowing players to create some nice aid meals to heal them and provide other benefits.
Orion Tower
Yet another building in the Residential District, the Orion Tower serves no purpose other than as an area players will need to break into during theOut on a Limb quest. There are, however, some Credit stacks at the end of the lounge area.
Eit Clothiers
For the fashion pioneers out there, Eit Clothiers has players covered. Players can show off their fashion as they purchase new apparel from Farad Kallob, who shares plenty of clothes and suits to make the player’s outfit truly pop when they’re not in a dirty and bloodied spacesuit.
Reliant Medical
Every city needs a doctor, and at Reliant Medical, players canfind Doctor Alexei Lebedev, who can provide players with all sorts of medical treatments and cures for their Traits. Lebedev sells some great aid items to the players who need them, so feel free to stop by his office any time.
The Well
The underbelly of New Atlantis, the Well shows that the city’s surface hides a dark secret, one that contrasts wealth and happiness by sweeping the less fortunate and poverty-stricken members of society quite literally under the rug. Players can access the Well through the Lodge’s basement, to the right of the MAST District’s NAT line, or even by the TerraBrew Coffee store at the Spaceport.
The Well can be confusing to navigate, so here’s a video showcasing its areas:

Med Bay
Starting from the MAST District’s NAT line, players can walk forward to find the Med Bay clinic. This isrun by Talia O’Shea, and players can get themselves a few medical supplies here, even if it is far less than on the surface. Just outside Med Bay, players will find Louisa Reyez to begin theTapping the Grind quest.
Jake’s
If players head up the stairs to the right of Med Bay, they can find a bar, owned by the pretty impatient Jake. This character serves players an assortment of beverages. There are also some random crewmates that can be found down here, but none worth mentioning.
The Well - Player House
Players can purchase a home in the Well for 30,000 Credits. It’s located above Jake’s. It may not look like much, and the area doesn’t feel the safest, but it’s a modest area where players can call home, and fill with the loot that they have acquired. To do so, players need to get their UC Citizenship.
Kay’s House
Heading back to the Med Bay, and this time taking the forward route through the exit doors, players will locate Kay’s House, a humble restaurant run by Theressa and Kay Mason, which serves players some food items for their aid inventory. Upstairs through the kitchen, The New Atlantian 05 can be found.
UC Surplus
To the right of Kay’s House, the UC Surplus sits, waiting for customers to come in and buy its assortment of trinkets. Thisstore is run by Antonio Bianchi, and it has a decent level of weapons, gear, and items. If players come by, they might find an unhappy customer returning some boots. Asking Antonio about it will startThe Bootquest.
Opposite the UC Surplus is the UC Security Office. The UC needs to keep a presence down in the Well, due to the disturbances of its citizens, and the oppressive nature of the UC. There isn’t much in here, but the two-story security office may hold some valuables to those who seek it.

House of the Enlightened
Facing away from the UC Security Office, players can find a new religion that has shot into mainstream stay. The House of the Enlightened may not have the nicest building, but inside, they can find Brodie Jiang and Andy Singh, as well asThe Kindness of Strangers questto help those in need of it from The Well.
Apex Electronics
Opposite Kay’s House and to the right, players can find Apex Electronics. Inside, players can purchase someresources from Henrick Zuran. There are not many useful items here. Some can be used in crafting, but most of it is for decoration. Yet, inside is the Cyber Runner’s Cipher 02 Magazine. Vincente Salinas is also inside, and players can start theA Shipment For Salians questwith him.
Trade Authority
Just outside Apex Electronics is the large Trade Authority building. This is the perfect building for the pirates out there who are looking to offload some contraband and their stolen goods. The Trade Authority will buy pretty much anything, and Zoe Kaminski will also sell some pretty nice items, including armor, weapons, and aid.
