AStardew Valleyplayer has decided to give the room of Shane, one of the farm sim RPG’s marriage candidates, a makeover. One of themajorStardew Valleyfeaturesgives players the chance to place furniture freely around their in-game homes and farm land, so it is not surprising for them to take the liberty of refurbishing the personal space of their spouse in the farming RPG sim.
With Eric Barone, or ConcernedApe, recently teasing that there will be anotherStardew Valleyupdate beyond the game’s current 1.5 patch, many players are probably very excited at the prospect of more content. The current patch already provided so many quality-of-life changes, useful additions, fixes, and more, giving the fan base an improved experience when playing. However, no details on when theupcomingStardew Valley1.6 patchwill be released, so it is understandable for fans to simply keep playing the game as it is now.

On Reddit, user Timely_Sundae_1287 shared before-and-after photos of how they fixed up the farmhouse room of Shane inStardew Valley. The original layout and content of Shane’s room is quite messy, featuring several items such as weights, beer cans, and a game console strewn about the floor. The player was able to cover up most of the mess by placing taller pieces of furniture to block out the view and compartmentalize some of the items on the floor. Though the space may look a bit more cramped, fellow fans will likely appreciate the change in scenery in the living space.
Given the original state of Shane’s room, the game’s fans on the Reddit thread opened discussion about the character’s development throughout the game. Being one of themarriage candidates inStardew Valley, Shane has a lot of extended dialogue and cutscenes with the player’s character that showcases their growth. However, some pointed out that it would have been great if the growth also showed up in the way that Shane decorated his room in the farmhouse, especially since he seemed to have a neater approach to the one he had in Marnie’s house.
It is nice to note that Timely_Sundae_1287 was able to give the room a makeover without using anymods forStardew Valley. There are many that fans have created for a variety of purposes, whether it’s to drastically change their game’s aesthetics or to make it easier for players to organize or decorate their spaces. Hopefully they share more of theirStardew Valleymakeover adventures to the community in the future.
