Now that Disney Plus has finally launchedthe Easter egg-filledLoki, fans of the streaming service’s various original series have something pretty substantial to chew on. But that doesn’t mean they’re not still looking forward to the ever-growing collection ofStar Warsshows on the horizon. Luckily for them, the star ofThe Book of Boba Fetthimself just elected to tease a little bit of juicy info.

Temuera Morrison famously starred as Jango Fett inStar Wars: Episode IIand now plays his clone son (and most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy) Boba inThe Mandalorianand the upcomingBook of Boba Fettseries. He recently sat down to discuss the new show and give fans an idea of what they can expect, and it turns out the story might be getting a little nostalgic.

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Morrison spoke about what little information he was actually allowed to reveal about the series. “Well, we can’t say too much,” he said when asked about how Boba acquired his new hand-to-hand fighting style, “but we’re going to see his past and where he’s beensinceThe Empire Strikes Back.” When Boba made his grand entrance onThe Mandalorian, he displayed some brutal new fighting moves that seemed to have evolved from his more ranged-type combat tactics seen in the original films. So, since Disney is more detail-oriented than Adrian Monk, it looks like the show will fully explain to viewers just how he developed these new up close and personal moves.

Morrison also teased the return of director Robert Rodriguez, saying “They brought Robert back in to direct a few more. There’s some wonderful directors involved.” Rodriguez previously directed the episode ofThe Mandalorianwhich featuredBoba Fett’s big action-packed return(after a few teases in previous episodes), so it makes sense that he would work well taking on a few episodes ofThe Book of Boba Fett. Like withThe Mandalorian, Rodriguez will likely join a number of other directors all working on several episodes apiece.

It seems almost a foregone conclusion thatThe Book of Boba Fettwould include some backstory considering Boba has been a fan favorite character ever since the original trilogy released. Having remained mostly out of the spotlight over the years since then, he’s bound to have plenty of stories to tell, particularly how he managed to escape the deadly Sarlacc pit inThe Return of the Jedi. Probably with lots of rockets, because there are a rather large amount of problems that can be solved by lots of rockets.

The Book of Boba Fettjust finished filmingand is shaping up to be a substantial series, and the knowledge that fans will learn more about one of their favorite characters' history is sure to make the wait that much harder. Hopefully, the end of the year comes quickly, but not too quickly. Folks need some time to enjoy the summer before it’s over in a few seconds.

The Book of Boba Fettwill premiere on Disney Plus in December 2021.
