Respawn has unveiled some of the content fans can expect from the upcomingStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. With less than a couple of months away from launch, developers have been increasingly sharing more updates and teasers as Respawn looks to build hype aroundStar Wars Jedi: Survivor.Star Wars Jedi: Survivorwas originally meant to launch in March before it was pushed by six weeks with the studio claiming it was taking the time to polish and optimize the game. Since then, Respawn has made an active effort to share details about the game ranging from its new combat mechanics to gameplay features. Recently, the studio’s Project Director Ryan McCaffrey even claimed that there’shope forStar Wars Jedito be a trilogy. Inspired by Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, the cosmetic pack includes skins for Cal Kestis, BD-1, Cal’s lightsaber, and blaster. The new cosmetic packs are similar to the earlier announcedStar Wars Jedi: SurvivorObi-Wan Kenobi cosmetic packthat ships with every pre-order. Of course, the cosmetic packs could potentially mean that players may see the iconic characters in the game in some form, especially considering how Vader was part ofFallen Order. Though time will tell if that will be the case.
Respawn looking to put more effort into cosmetics will come as a welcome sign for many gamers. Though perhaps one of the more exciting updates may be the fact thatStar Wars Jedi: Survivorwill include dismemberment. It’s a feature that fans have come to expect, though the studio restricted dismemberment inFallen Order. Now it looks like Respawn may be getting ambitious with the highly-anticipated sequel.
But the gameplay mechanics and interesting cosmetics are only part of the anticipation for fans. Its overarching story and the larger implications for the lore carry a lot of weight forStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. Currently, the bafta tank that was featured in the trailer is the top contender as one of the most intriguing aspects of the game’s story. Though some speculate that players could see more from the sequel including arumored Grogu flashback inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorand a possible exploration of Palpatine’s cloning experiments. Either way, it’s shaping up to be an interesting time to be a Star Wars gamer. As to how far Respawn’s game will deliver expectations, time will tell.
