It may be hard to believe that in less than a month, members of the gaming community will be able to get their hands onSpider-Man: Miles Moralesin tandem with the launch of the PS5. Though, despite the short amount of time left before the game’s launch, there’s not that much information in terms of what to expect fromSpider-Man: Miles Morales. Luckily, the game’s creative director has recently offered some fresh insight in terms of what players can expect.

The originalSpider-Mangame released on the PS4back in 2018 was well received by many in the gaming community. With dynamic combat, an expansive open world, and fun, streamlined web slinging mechanics, the game had a lot going for it, but there were also some problems that bogged the quality of the game down a bit for some players.

One such element that some players found off putting was the inclusion of multiple playable characters besides Spider-Man, such asMary Jane Watsonand Miles Morales. For some, the additional characters just added to the story, but some also viewed them unfavorably considering that they largely took away from the experience of playing as Spider-Man. Thankfully, for those who took fault with this,Miles Moraleswill not include multiple playable characters.

The creative director of the game, Brian Horton, confirmed in an interview with Game Informer that the player will play as Miles for the entirety of the game. While Horton did mention that there would be segments of the game where Miles would step away from his superhero persona and just interact as a normal teenager, similar to how inSpider-Manthe player would intermittently play asPeter Parker, but otherwise, the player will assume the superhero role for the majority of the game.

In any case, this should give prospective players an idea of what kind of game to expect. With the question ofSpider-Man: Miles Morales’sgame lengthup in the air and how much of an impact this game will make compared to the previous title, hopefully because the game allows the player to spend one-hundred percent of their time with the titular hero, it will lead to a much more impactful experience.

It will be interesting to see what else the game has in store for people. It’s obvious that Peter Parker won’t serve as prominent a role in this game compared to the last game, so this potentially could lead Miles’s story into something that’s uniquely its own. It will also be exciting to see how Insomniac utilizesGanke Lee, now that it’s been confirmed that there aren’t any other playable characters.

Spider-Man: Miles Moralesis set to release on November 12th for PS4 and PS5.
