Details in Sony’s calendar patent reveal that the system has been filed as a data processing system for commercial purposes, et al., encompassing administration, management, and consumer functionality. Namely, the filing includes classification for use in video games and gaming systems, with an emphasis on time management, including calendars, reminders, and meetings. This suggests that this new calendar system may be used by players to set reminders for upcoming game releases, subscription renewals, or store sales, as well as schedule multiplayer gaming sessions and more.
