Shovel Knight Dig, developed in collaboration between Yacht Club and Nitrome, takes the main ideas ofShovel Knight’s2D platformer gameplay - the bouncing, the shoveling, the Mega Man-esque boss battles, the secrets hidden in off-pattern sections of the wall, and so on - and fits them all into the structure of a spelunking rogue-lite.

Shovel Knight Dighas a number of different item types, but Accessories are perhaps the most straightforward to understand. Basically, they give the gamer temporary upgrades while they are exploring the mines. These are located within the mines and are only effective for the duration of a run. Furthermore, the gamer may equip numerous Accessories at once (unlike Relics).
What Are Accessories In Shovel Knight Dig?
Accessories inShovel Knight Digare like power-ups that a player can find as they go through the well. The player can find these power-ups in chests, buy them from Chester’s shop in the well, or get them for free by getting all three Cogs in a level and choosing the question mark from the golden Drill Capsule. Accessories can be quite helpful, but none of them can change the game on their own. But if the player manages to get a lot of Accessories, they can improve their defenses and help them move faster, making it much easier to stay alive.

If the gamer finds a golden statue of a Griffoth, they can also give up one of their Accessories to get into a hidden room. Most of the time, there are a lot of Gems and helpful NPCs like Tom Bola or Gastronomole in these rooms. Still, ifthe gamer wants to beatDrill Knight and have one of the more effective Accessories, like the Fenix Feather, giving up their Accessory is usually not a good idea.
Unlocking Accessories
The player can get accessories by buying them from Chester at the Bohto Wagon, which is to the left of the well near the campfire. Although the levels inShovel Knight Digare procedurally generated, Chester has one of the greatest spawn frequencies of any NPC, so he shouldn’t be toodifficult to find. Moreover, Chester will sell Accessories from inside the well (he will only have unlocked Accessories available for purchase).

The gamer may purchase several Accessories from Chester for 1000 Gems each when they visit his wagon. If they buy one of the Accessories, the other Accessories will cost 1000 Gems more. After the gamer buys a particular Accessory, it won’t be replaced. Instead, it will be grayed out to show that it’s sold out.
Description
Burrow Horns
Burrow Horns are quite handy. They’ll attach horns to the player’s helmet, allowing them to leap and deliver damage above them, whether to an enemy or a dirt block. The player may use this to return to a higher level if they fell too soon.
Cog On A String
The Cog On A String will insert one free cog into the drill capsule. Thus, even if the gamer collects just two golden cogs in a level, they may still unlock the drill capsule. If the gamer encounters a difficult golden cog, they may just ignore it and collect the other two in the level. The gamer will be able to do this at all stages so long as they hang onto this accessory.
Enchanted Slamvil
Before the player even reaches the stage, The Enchanted Slamvil will instantly weaken all tougher foes. This may help reduce the number of strikes required to destroy certain enemies, giving them an advantage in every battle by making them more powerful.
Inverse Repeller
The Inverse Repeller willattract all gems, even if they are buried under soil. This is a lot more beneficial than it seems, as it allows the gamer to gather difficult-to-obtain gems that are just below the ground, sparing them from possible harm if they move to get them.
Looking Glass
The Looking Glass aids in discovering of secrets. The player will encounter fractured walls around the game, and destroying them will provide a way to an event room.
Platter Charm
While on runs, food will be easier to come by thanks to the Platter Charm.Shovel Knight can behealed with food as well. With this equipped, there is a greater chance that an enemy will drop food or that food will be in a chest after opening it.
Shovel Blade Flint
The Shovel Blade Flint will increase the gamer’s attack range. The range isn’t very long, covering just around one more block, but it provides the gamer a little more area tostrike and defendthemselves.
Spikeproof Sabatons
The Spikeproof Sabatons are really helpful, particularly if the player prefers to rush through levels. When equipped, spikes will no longer damage them.
Drop Spark
The Drop Spark is also anextremely useful accessory. When the gamer has full health, they may strike with a long-range assault that spans the whole screen and travels down the ground.
Comet Collar
The Comet Collar causes foes to be pushed back more than usual when attacked. This might be useful for giving oneself more time to prepare for a next step. In addition, the player might knock enemies into traps that cause them more damage.
Dynamo Greaves
When the gamer lands two consecutive shovel drops, the Dynamo Greaves will provide them with a temporary speed increase. This can be done to either enemies or sand blocks.
Shovel Knight Digis available on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, iOS, and Mac OS.
