From references, visual easter eggs, nods, and teases for what’s to come,She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawis looking like a promising entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the entry intoJennifer Walters’ transformation into She-Hulkstarts with laughs and fights.

8Fourth Wall Breaks

For new viewers,She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawmay completely baffle audiences onwhy Jennifer Walters keeps talking to the audience. This is known as a fourth wall break, and although it breaks the immersion of a solidified cinematic universe existing in its plain, it is completely in character for Jennifer Walters and She-Hulk to do.

In the comics, She-Hulk is no stranger to breaking the fourth wall. Many depictions have her talking to the reader directly, being drawn facing them, with her dialogue conversing with them. This is depicted in the show a few times already, much like how Deadpool would, but less vulgar and crass.

7Cheetos And Chopsticks

Jennifer Walters impressed her cousin, the gamma scientist Bruce Banner, with a trick about Cheetos. Walters was seen eating the savory cheese-puff snack with chopsticks, to avoid getting the powder from the snack on her fingers. However, this practice was popularized by none other thanMoon Knight himself, Oscar Isaac.

It’s a fun meta-reference and shows how She-Hulk isn’t shy to poke fun at itself. The viral photo of actor Oscar Isaac can be seen eating Cheetos with chopsticks, and the actor plays Marc Spectre in the Disney Plus and Marvel Studios’ limited seriesMoon Knight.

6Sakaaran Ship

When a spaceship startles Jennifer Walters’ car, she is overturned, and both herself and Bruce Banner are the victims of a car crash. This ship may be a huge and random surpriseto some viewers, but Marvel fans would know that this ship has been seen before inThor: Ragnarok.

The ship is of Sakaaran design, and the people on Sakaar celebrated Hulk like a god for being a fierce gladiator. Hulk was on the planet for two years, and it’s no surprise that for whatever reason, a Sakaaran ship is looking for him, and Smart Hulk believes it to deliver a message.

5Jennifer Walters Becomes She-Hulk

Bruce Banner has gamma-irradiated blood thanks to his experiments on himself that turn him into theburden and rageful Incredible Hulk. His gamma-irradiated blood is much sought after and can be lethal to some. In the comics, Jennnifer Walters is shot by a mobster and critically injured, forcing Bruce Banner to provide her with a blood transfusion to save her life and infect her blood with that of the Hulks.

In the MCU, the origin is similar, and anopen wound caused by a car crashleaves Jennifer Walters exposed to a bleeding Bruce Banner, whose droplets of blood get into her wound and infect her bloodstream. It’s good to see the MCU staying somewhat faithful to the source, even if the methods are somewhat more in line with the MCU’s canon.

4The Iron Legion

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark created the Iron Legion as a group of Iron Man armors worn by droids to guard and protect civilians during threats that required the Avengers on the scene in populated areas. These suits were originally controlled by J.A.R.V.I.S., but the connection was severed once Ultron was established.

The events ofAvengers: Age of Ultronleft the Iron Legion scrapped, considering all of them were destroyed by the Avengers. InShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Bruce’s hideaway in Mexico has one of the destroyed Iron Legion masks as décor.

3B.B. T.S.

In one of the more wholesome and sad moments of the MCU, audiences are given the painful reminder that Tony Stark died saving the universe. Bruce Banner takes Jennifer Walters to his Mexico hideout to help her control her new powers and responsibility as a Hulk. This Mexico hideout is a nice vacation resort, built by Bruce and Tony Stark.

On his bar, the initials “B.B.” and “T.S.” are carved into the wooden surface. It’s a great tribute to the “Science Bros,” and the off-screen friendship of Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. These characters have a lot of screen time together, including a post-credits scene inIron Man 3.

2Thunderclap

Many comic characters have an iconic method of attack. For the Hulk, one of his many iconic moves is that of the thunderclap. This move involves the Hulk spreading his arms wide, and clapping his hands together.

This move is often regarded as one of the most awesome Hulk moments. It was seen in 2008’sThe Incredible Hulk, technically the second, but often disregarded MCU movie. Both She-Hulk and Smart Hulk do the thunderclap, showing great power.
