Part of the fun of playing open world games is exploring and hunting down all the Easter eggs. The recently releasedSaints Rowis no exception, with itsopen world city of Santo Ilesohiding plenty of Easter eggs for fans to discover. One such Easter egg is a reference to the cult classic 1994 filmClerksby Kevin Smith, which is fitting since the third film in the comedy series is coming to theaters soon.
IfSaints Rowplayers travel to the northern section of the map, they will end up in an area called Monte Vista. Monte Vista features a variety of businesses for players to check out, including a tattoo parlor called Lemoneedle, a clothing store called Woodbush Country Club, and a weapon shop named Friendly Fire. There is also a section, just west of Lemoneedle, where players can build one of their criminal ventures.

Criminal ventures inSaints Roware illegal businesses that players set up to expand their criminal empire. After players build a criminal venture in this section, they will find that it’s attached to a convenience store called Rapid Go Groceries, which has a shutter covering its windows. The shutter has a tarp over it that says “I ASSURE YOU, WE ARE OPEN!” which is the sign Dante puts on theQuick Stop Groceries in theClerksmovie.
What’s unclear from our testing is if thisClerksreference always appears in this exact area on the map or if its inclusion is dependent on where one builds the laundromat criminal venture. Regardless, it’s a fun Easter egg that’s relatively easy to spot forClerksfans.
Clerksfans can check out theSaints RowEaster egg while they wait for the new movie to hit theaters.Clerks 3will premiere in theaters on September 13, following a world premiere in New Jersey on September 4.Clerks 3is coming a whopping 16 years after the previous movie,Clerks 2, hit theaters, and it will once again follow the lives of Dante Hicks and Randal Graves. In it, Randal has suffered a heart attack (mirroring writer/director Kevin Smith’s real-life heart attack) and decides to film a movie at the Quick Stop they work at, which is a nod to Smith’s experience filming the originalClerksmovie.
As far asSaints Rowgoes, the game has earned mixed reviews from critics, so fans may want to wait for a sale before jumping in.
