A possible leak of upcomingLEGOproducts reveals that there could be aThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Breath of the Wildset planned. Nintendo’s exciting partnership withLEGOhas already led to a number of unique sets being released, including a classic Nintendo Entertainment System console set and the interactive Adventures with Mario sets. These Nintendo LEGO sets have so far been restricted toMario-themed products, but that may be changing soon.
Nintendo’s partnership with LEGO is divided between two different styles of sets. The first is theAdventures with Mario LEGO sets. There are nearly 30 of these sets, which feature unique Bluetooth-enabled figures that produce sounds as Mario and friends jump through different LEGO levels. Sets include figures like Mario, Luigi, and Peach, stages like Bowser’s Airship, the Lakitu Sky World, and Luigi’s Mansion, and power-ups like the Frog suit and Goomba’s Shoe. There are also adult-focused sets like Mighty Bowser and the Super Mario 64 Mystery Block.

WithMarioproving to be such a great success for bothLEGO and Nintendo,The Legend of Zeldamay be the next franchise to join in on the fun. There are claims that a marketing survey went out from a LEGO partner with information about upcoming sets. The leak sounds dubious at first, but it comes with images of sets that are persuasively real. One of the sets is fromThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Breath of the Wildand is based on The Great Deku Tree.
The leaked image shows theOcarina of TimeLEGO version of the set, featuring The Great Deku Tree in all his glory with green leaves growing over his head. Leakers claim that the set also features an alternativeBreath of the Wildconfiguration featuring a slightly different face for The Great Deku Tree and pink blossoms overhead. The two-state LEGO set claim is supported by minifigs of Link from bothOcarina of TimeandBreath of the Wildbeing shown in the photograph, as well as Zelda fromBreath of the Wild.
Due to the dubious source surrounding the leak, it, unfortunately, can’t be considered substantiated by any means at this point in time. The LEGO set shown in the image is certainly real, but it could be a fan-made set or a test set LEGO made with no plans to release. It does look professionally made, at least, but fans won’t know until it’s officially announced.
In addition toThe Legend of ZeldaLEGO set, other leaked sets includeThe Lord of the RingsBarad-dûr Eye of Sauron tower, aBatman: The Animated SeriesGotham Art Deco Mosaic, the X-Men’s X-Mansion with nearly 10 minifigs, and the Sorting Hat from theHarry Potterfilms. For many LEGO fans,The Legend of Zeldafans included, this is a leak that’s hopefully true. Expect more information regardingLEGO’s plans for 2023 in the weeks and months to come.
