There’s more to do inCall of Duty: Modern WarfareandCall of Duty: Warzonethan ever now thatthe mid-Season 4 update has releasedwith content like new weapons and a 200-player battle royale mode. However, dataminers have been sifting through the games' codes and discovered plenty of other things to look forward to, including the potential release window for the Verdansk Stadium.
The introduction to Season 5 may take place in the Stadium according to Discord group The Gaming Vanguard, which publicized the information after it was uncovered by a member named Tombaa. Some players have previously uncoveredways to glitch inside the Stadium, but it is currently empty of content and shows no real signs of being accessible soon.

That said, official images released by Activision and its first-person shooter series developers have shown off the Stadium as a set piece with new decor and open windows, which led players to believe that the Stadium may have been opening up aspart of the mid-season update. Clearly that has not happened, but this new data that may be in the code suggests the developers are actively ramping up to that release once Season 4 has run its course.
This potential Stadium release window is not the only information that The Gaming Vanguard has publicized in the wake of theCall of Dutymid-Season 4 update. One member on Twitter who goes by Geeky Pastimes has discussed a number of surprises Infinity Ward has in mind for the future ofModern WarfareandWarzone, includingfour new multiplayer mapsand Frank Woods from theBlack Opsseries being added as a playable operator.
Though the datamined leaks being released today all seem like sensible additions in the timeframe that has been set out, it’s still worth taking the information with a grain of salt. Something appearing in a game’s code could just as easily be leftover or in testing phases rather than being an imminent release, so waiting on official word from Activision about what will be added toCall of Duty: Warzonewill likely yield more accurate results.
As far as the Stadium itself goes, this is not the first time that the developers have teased new locales for long periods of time.Warzone’s bunkers were inaccessible for a while after release, and even after they began to open there were still questions about theinfamous Bunker 11 that contains a nuclear warhead.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
