While most of the internet has been obsessed with Lady Dimitrescu sinceResident Evil Villagefirst showed her off, she is only one of a few bosses of similar importance in the game. Each of the four Lords in the game reside in their own lairs around the village and answer totheir leader, Mother Miranda. On top of residing in different lairs, each Lord encounter will have players facing off against new mechanics and enemies. The village serves as the main hub in the center of all four lairs, and the residents are at the mercy of the Lords.
Not much is currently known about the Lords' Mother Miranda, except that she is a figure that is worshiped by the villagers and the Lords inResident Evil Village. However, she also appears to be a physical being that exists in the game world. That being said, she is highly revered and may even have sacrifices made in her honor by Lady Dimitrescu and her witchy friends. Only time will tell why these powerful Lords listen to this holy figure, and what Mother Miranda even looks like.

Lady Dimitrescu
The most popular of the Lords isthe tall vampire Lady Dimitrescuwho resides in a Castle with her three mutated companions. She has been actively participating in vampirism since 1950 to present day 2020 whenResident Evil Villagetakes place. Dimitrescu’s family has maintained a good relationship with the other three families, so they maintain control of the area. This allows her to treat her staff very violently, frequently having to hire new ones from the village. Where these Maidens end up is unknown, but it’s assumed they make up Lady Dimitrescu’s infamous blood wine, Sanguis Virginis.
Karl Heisenberg
Another one of the Lords revealed in the same trailer thatLady Dimitrescu was, Karl Heisenbergis a mutated human who lives in the eastern European village. Heisenberg lives in his family’s factory and carries a big hammer while casually smoking a cigar. In his factory, Heisenberg subjects his victims to forms of torture and experiments that would make Dr. Frankenstein shiver. His factory is fairly modern and doesn’t have snow like other parts of the village.
Salvatore Moreau
Salvatore Moreau resembles a mutant much more than the previously two mentioned Lords. Alsobased in Gothic themes, Moreau’s appearance is based on Mermen and his series of lumps and jagged teeth resemble aResident Evilmonster more than any of the others. Takano, the art director, says that the team’s goal was to create one of the ugliest characters they could. It worked, and Moreau the mermen now lives in a derelict fishing village. It is curious why Moreau, given his appearance and poor living conditions, would be held to the same standing as the other Lords.
Donna Beneviento
Donna Beneviento is a mystery, wrapped completely in black cloth and veil that many would recognize from mourners. There is nothing else known about Donna except that, while covered from head to toe, she operates a puppet named Angie. The pair live in a house on the outskirts of the village, and she never receives visitors. While nothing else is known, game director Morimasa Sato has let it out thathis American Capcom partnersfound Donna and Angie to be the scariest in the game, much to his pleasure.
The multiple Lords and the village hub certainly setResident Evil Villageup to be bigger than many were expecting. This can play out in the game’s favor with a longer runtime, as long as it provides an equally interesting experience throughout. However, previous games have shown that a bigger map doesn’t necessarily mean more fun, andResident Evilwill have to prove it uses its map size well. Fans won’t have to wait long asResident Evil Villagewill release another castle Demoand more content before the full release on May 7.

Resident Evil Villagewill launch on May 7 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
