Updated September 4th, 2024 by Jacob Buchalter:Remnant 2 is a game that has been supported by both the player base and the developers long after release. The game has had two incredibly large DLC expansions added to it, and the third one (The Dark Horizon) is looking to be even bigger than the other two. In each of these new content additions, Gunfire Games has also added some new NPCs, though none quite compare to one of the most likable base game NPCs, Meidra. Meidra is one of Yaesha’s forest spirits and she’s also the path you must follow if you want the Barkskin Trait, Bloodstream Trait,or the Sorrow Handgun. So let’s break down how exactly this event works, what questions Meidra might ask, and what answers lead to the rewards you’re seeking.
What She Asks You & Where It Leads
After encounteringMeidra’s SorrowWorld Event in Yaesha (which will be visually apparent when found thanks tothe gigantic magic treeand Meidra coming out of it), you’ll have the chance to speak with Meidra and answer a whole bunch of questions. These questions lead to two possible rewards, both of which are Traits:
All that said, there are a lot of questions, and it can be pretty tough with some of these questions to tell which is the ‘Doe’ answer and which is the wolf/Ravager answer. Getting The Sorrow Handgun From Meidra
You’ll Have to Give Up the Tear of Kaeula
After answering Meidra’s questions, you’ll also have the opportunity to get another reward by giving Meidra the Tear of Kaeula (a Ring). This is the Ring of Kaeula, another spirit of Yaesha like Meidra, and as such Meidra would like the Ring as a memento to remember her sister by. If you opt to hand over that Ring, which isa relatively big sacrificewhen you’re early enough in your playtime (due to the Ring increasing Relic max usage by +2), Medira will give you theSorrow Handgun in return.
Thankfully, the Sorrow is one of the best Handguns in the game overall, so losing Kaeula’s Ring isn’t too big of a price to pay. Plus, you can just re-roll your Yaesha Realm until you get the Kaeula’s Rest location again and re-acquire the ring to have both rewards at once.
