Speaking to TheGamerabout theBorderlandsfranchise, Pitchford said, “Oh man, I don’t think I’ve done a good enough job of hiding the fact that we’re working on something. And I think people that loveBorderlandsare going to be very excited about what we’re working on. These are fuzzy words, but sooner rather than later, we’re going to be talking about what we’ve been working on, and I can’t wait.” While not confirmed, it seems that Pitchford is hinting atBorderlands 4. Of course, it’s also possible that he is referring to a completely differentBorderlands-related project, so fans should keep that in mind.
Borderlands Fans Are Going to Be Very Excited About What Gearbox is Working On
WhileBorderlands 4is the likeliest candidate for Gearbox’s next bigBorderlandsproject, there’s always a chance that the next game could be another spin-off. After all,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandswas a big success, and so it wouldn’t be surprising if Gearbox decided to create a follow-up to that next instead ofBorderlands 4. There’s also potential new installments in theTales from the Borderlandsseries to consider. It’s also possible that the newBorderlandsproject Pitchford is teasing could be something totally unexpected, so it will be interesting to see what exactly it is whenever the official announcement comes.
Borderlandsfans still don’t know what to expect from the franchise’s next video game, but they still have reason to celebrate.
