It refers to the trope of characters being transported into another world. A common Isekai setup in anime is having players getting trapped in an MMO. Is that what’s happening inStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin? Saying something now would bea spoilerso let’s save those until the end and attempt to answer some questions.
7Will Final Fantasy Get Remade?
The very end of the game shows Jack and his four companions waiting around the throne in the Chaos Shrine. Time moves forward and four shadowy figures appear in the doorway, seemingly ready to challenge Jack, or Garland, to a showdown. This is how the originalFinal Fantasygame starts. The Four Warriors of Light are tasked by the king to retrieve his daughter. They face Garland and kick offthe entire adventure/franchise. Was this all a setup for a future remake?
6The Unused Continent
A majority ofStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origintakes place on the first continent. There are vast spaces between mission areas but most parts of the map are touched to some degree. This is not true for the upper continent. Players will take on a few missions on the West side of this continent but the East area of the map is completely barren.

Are thereplans for DLCor a giant expansion down the line? It’s odd to have a landmass that big and not use it, so the chances for some sort of DLC are high. There are a lot of different routes the developers could go with it.
5Who Are The Lufenians?
One of the most mysterious groups of characters in the game is the Lufenians. By the end, it is revealed that these interdimensional beings are sending Jack and his friendsback in time. They are also purging all darkness from their realm to purify it. That’s why Jack has had to run this loop on repeat. Seemingly darkness is a never-ending supply in whatever world these people exist in. There are too many questions left unanswered with the Lufenians.
4How Many Loops Did They Run?
One of the biggest revelations in the originalFinal Fantasywas that it was stuck ina time loop. It is never revealed how many times this loop is repeated but the coming of the Four Warriors of Light finally brought an end to this loop.
This question remains unanswered inStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Originas well. How many times did Jack and the others have to go through their journeys? Sometimes they seemingly failed too. In that case, wouldn’t that have ended all existence? If not then how did the Lufenians stop the madness?

3Jack’s Crystallization Powers
Jack is the pure embodiment of rage in this story. He will finish off opponents, big or small, as if he were always crushing ants. One of the flashier powers in the game is Jack’s finishers which turn enemies into crystals. This can also boost the magic gauge, so it is encouraged to do so.
How Jack can perform these finishers is never explained. He doesn’t use a special dagger to do it. Things in this universe may naturally turn to crystals when they die, but again, the true answer is not clear.

2What Are Those Black Crystals?
At the beginning ofStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Jack, Ash, and Jed meet up outside the castle. They know they are supposed to be together because their black orbs are seemingly drawn to one another. Players are made to believe that these black orbs are sacred crystals and thus Jack and the others are the destined Warriors of Light.

Eventually, it is revealed that these are not theseries’ famous crystals. The black orbs can absorb dark energy and also store memories. They are like hard drives but ones that cannot be accessed regularly. Why they are given these items and how they exactly work is up to interpretation.
1Why Didn’t Astos Tell Jack And The Others Right Away?
Astos is as mysterious by the end of the story as he is the first time Jack and the others meet up with him. Eventually, it is revealed that he was created by the Lufenians as some sort oforganic robotic cyborg. His allegiance is to Jack, whatever his cause may be. Jack has a plan, during their first loop, to stop whatever the Lufenians were cooking up.
Unfortunately, Jack and everyone else forgot their mission when time resets but Astos doesn’t. Couldn’t Astos have kept something of Jack’s to make him believe the plan? Aren’t there other ways to record people besides the black crystals? Jack could have also written it down. There are AirPods inStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Originfor crying out loud.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Originwas released on June 06, 2025, and is available onPC,PS4,PS5,Xbox One, andXbox Series X.
