Twitch has revealed its September 2020 lineup of free games for Prime Gaming, the new branding from Twitch Prime. Thefree games are available to anyone with an Amazon Primesubscription.

This month’s group of free games includesOutcast - Second Contact, Autonauts, Pumped BMX Pro, Effie and Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops. September also marks Prime Gaming’s first official month sincebeing rebranded from Twitch Prime. The service now offers users one free Twitch subscription a month and integrates with Prime Music and Video for a more streamlined experience. While no major changes were made to the service, Amazon hopes the small tweaks and rebranding will attract more consumers.

Anyone with an Amazon Prime subscription can claim these games by linking their Amazon and Twitch accounts. After that, users will have to download the Amazon Games launcher to install the free Prime games. The service is also available separately for $12.99 a month for players who prefer to skip out on paying for the more expensive Amazon Prime subscription.

Outcast - Second Contacttops the list of September’s free offerings. The game is a remake of the critically acclaimed open world gameOutcastthat was released in 1999. The title is an open world action role-playing game that has players explore the alien world of Aldephia. Though it is a remake of game that is more than 20 years old,Outcast - Second Contactremains popular among fans. The title boasts an 85% positive user score on Steam.

Two of this month’s freebies were developed by Curve Digital. The first isAutonauts, a world building simulator where players colonize uninhabited planets and build entire towns from the ground up. The game starts out with only a few rudimentary tools, but after a few hours of crafting players are able to create factories, farms and even a spaceport. Players also construct and command an army of bots to inhabit these settlements. The second game from Curve Digital isPumped BMX Pro. The premise is simple yet fun: players get a BMX bike and show off their moves while riding off of various jumps.

The3D action-adventure gameEffieis also free this month. The game’s graphics and gameplay are inspired by classic Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 platformers, but updates the genre by allowing players to explore an open world. The title is blends classic platformer gameplay with a knack for exploration.

Tiny Troopers: Joint Opsis an arcade-style first-person shooter. Players take control of their tiny trooper to take on waves on enemies, either solo or with a friend.

It will be interesting to see what Amazon will do with Prime Gaming in the near future. The company has recently made several moves into the gaming world, including anewly announced partnership with CrossFireX Studio.
