The following article contains spoilers forThe Book of Boba Fett. The Book of Boba Fettwill end its unglorified run on Disney Plus next week, however, besides being obvious tie-ins forThe Mandalorian, the series’ last two episodes also open the door for a potentially exciting finale involving its growing cast of characters.

Contrary to Disney’s Marvel shows, where the final battle is almost a given from the very start,The Mandalorian’stwo seasons do not lay out a solid blueprint that tells fans exactly what to expect. Both season enders act more like the final steps of a mission and, in this case, Boba Fett’s battle for control of Tatooine becomes more interesting because of where it will leave everyone standing once the dust has settled.

Grogu’s Choice

At the end of chapter six,“From the Desert Comes a Stranger", baby Grogu is left off t make the kind of decision that shapes the galaxy’s destiny every once in a while, to become a Jedi or a Mandalorian. Now, despite all the odds favoring the kid choosing his beskar chainmail over Yoda’s lightsaber, the conditions under which he does so could affect hisStar Warsfate going forward.

Considering his longevity, Grogu could very well join his adoptive dad throughout his human lifetime before continuing down the path of the force later in the future. His absence as among Luke’s doomed class of padawans would save him from Ben Solo’s raged outburst that leads to the temple’s demise, and most crucially ensure Grogu becomes a usable character in future movies or spinoffs.

Of course, there’s also the chance that this decision is made off-screen or that Baby Yoda’s trip to Tatooine is simply too long, and thus this whole affair is saved forThe Mandalorian’supcoming season. Still, the prospect ofGrogu fighting alongside Din Djarinis hard to pass on.

Boba Fett’s Legacy

Since getting a second lease on lifethe OG Mandalorianseems to have found some form of enlightenment, and though it’s arguable a silentBoba Fett was a betterStar Warscharacter, exploring this new side of him should pay off with lasting consequences and a better fate than what Jango got.

Boba Fett seems to be inclined to build something with Fennec Shand by his side, a more functional and less cruel Mos Espa, and possibly the same for all of Tatooine so everything points to his forces besting the Pyke syndicate in the finale. Victory could come at a high cost though, and given the treatment the series’ supposed protagonist has gotten so far, not even death can be ruled out for Boba Fett.

The bounty hunter is bound to face Cad Bane to finally get the rematch he’s always wanted, nevertheless, it seems unlikely thatThe Book of Boba Fettwould bring one of Dave Filoni’s best characters only to get killed so quickly; with Robert Rodriguez directing expect a hard-fought battle. At the same time, it’s hard to imagine a victorious Boba Fett simply retiring to pull Tatooine’s strings with Fennec, unless that somehow aidsThe Mandalorian’sown quest and storyline somehow.

What’s Up With Mando?

IfThe Book of Boba Fettisa Mandalorian spinoff, then the series finale should cap things off with the kind mindblowing revelation fans got when thefirst deepfake Luke Skywalker showed up, even if it’s not crystal clear what his next paid job will be. Perhaps the number one task on his to-do list is winning back the Mandalorian honor that he lost when the armorer expelled him from the clan.

It’s fairly likely that whatever big events Mando is involved inwill be directly tied to Grogu, so whether the kid joins him to fight in Tatooine or the two are left to reunite in season 3, Din Djarin will eventually have to set course for Mandalore maybe picking up some new gear along the way.

The Best Of The Rest

Black Krrsantan is one of thoseStar Warscharacters that are more of curiosity or novelty than someone who gets a fully-fledged story, so his fate will probably remain tied to Boba Fett after pledging his allegiance to him. Conversely, Fennec Shand stands on the opposite corner as she’s been treated to even more screentime than Boba Fett in the last two episodes.

TheStar Warsuniverse is not brimming with female characters and the master assassin is (along with Ahsoka Tano) among the few women out there that can hold their own against almost anyone, especially in this part of the timeline where Rey and Leia won’t be seen. Fennec alreadydefeated Cad Bane inThe Bad Batchand cheated death once, but unless she’s bound to get an even bigger upgrade, she could end up as a casualty in Boba Fett’s forces.
