Potion Permitis a casual Action-Adventure game developed by Masshive Media and published by PQube. Players take on the role of the new chemist in the town of Moonbury, brewing potions and remedies for all manner of afflictions and journeying out into the surrounding wilderness to gather ingredients. Players can also build up their relationship with the townsfolk and improve the town in a number of ways as they play.

Petting the Dog
Once the player is given control they are able to whistle for their dog at any time while outdoors by pushing the whistle button. This is indicated under the dog icon in the lower left of the screen and calls over the dog when used. The dog will then sit and it becomes possible to interact with them by pushing the interact button.
This opens a small menu that allows the player to choose from several actions: Pet, Feed, and Find. A well-fed dog will happily lead the player to any NPC when they use the Find command, which can be useful as the townsfolk move around a lot during the day and it can be difficult to keep track of everyone’s routines.
On the subject of feeding, the dog can technically be fed anything, but that doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily like every food item. As a general rule, players should avoid anything too ridiculous, like milkshakes or root beer. Mushrooms from the first area where the player can gather items are an easy source of food for the dog. Heading to that area regularly to gather mushrooms and other ingredients is very handy anyway, so grabbing a few extra for the dog is unlikely to be a problem.
Finally,the Pet command allows the player to pet the dog, which will raise their bond with the dog by a small amount, much like feeding it food that it likes will. This is both adorable and practical, as increasing the dog’s bond will allow it to perform an additional trick. A well-fed dog with a full friendship bar can dig up a number of useful and valuable items from holes, including Ginger. This makes keeping the dog happy invaluable to players wanting to gather as many ingredients as possible for their alchemical concoctions.
