While many successful content creators have risen to fame through the platform over the years, two of the most iconic of all time are Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Felix “xQc” Lengyel. Recently, another star streamer discussed the importance of these to famous content creators and made a bold claim about which one was more valuable to the platform during their prime.
During a recent live stream,popular Twitch streamer Pokimanehad an intriguing take on two of the biggest streamers in the industry: Ninja and xQc. The topic arose after a viewer in her Twitch chat said that Ninja was an “S-tier” streamer when he went to Mixer. The viewer then asked her why she believed that Twitch would attempt to keep xQc from going to YouTube if he eventually wanted to move. According to Pokimane, xQc was more valuable to the company. While many might agree with this statement based on current streaming numbers, what made this a hot take was that she believed the Canadian streamer was more vital to the company than Ninja was in his prime.

In addition to making this bold claim, Pokimane was prepared to back up her statement. She reasoned thatNinja’s success was inextricably linked toFortnite. She explained that as the battle royale rose to stratospheric heights, so did Ninja. However, she claimed that the same could not be said of xQc. According to Pokimane, he was not connected to one type of game, meaning that he could play whatever he wanted and still draw an enormous crowd. “xQc will get viewers doing anything,” she said. As a result, this made him more valuable.
The debate over thevalue of xQc to the Twitchbrand has been a hot topic of late. Besides these comments from Pokimane, YouTuber MoistCr1tikal recently discussed the issue during a stream. However, he came to a much different conclusion. According to MoistCr1tikal, the Canadian streamer was too controversial for the streaming platform. Despite his many followers, MoistCr1tikal believed that the company wouldn’t keep the streamer if he wanted to move to a different platform.
These are doubtlessly intriguing comments about some of the most notable streamers in the history of streaming. It’s worth noting that while Pokimane believed that xQc was more valuable toTwitch, she also pointed out she wasn’t downplaying the success of Ninja.
