Tera raids are a vital part of the newPokemon Scarlet and Violettitles. Now, this new form of Pokemon will transcend to other games.

The Tera Pokemon will be a part ofPokemon TCGin its next expansionScarlet and Violet: Paldea Evolved. Initially spotted by Dicebreaker, the new update will bring Terastallized version of Slowking, Forretress, and Dedenne, which will have unique artwork with crystalized features, just like in the games. The new set will bring a total of 15 new EX Pokemon cards, as well as 18 ultra-rare Pokemon EX cards. Anxious players won’t need to wait too long for it, as the edition will be released on June 9, being available via boosters and special collections.

The inclusion ofTerastallized Pokemon will change how the game works. One of the main features of these new cards is that they will be able to change their type when commanded to do extra damage to creatures matching their Tera type. Also, they can get shielded from damage when they are benched, unlike normal Pokemon, which would be in a vulnerable position by making this move. These Pokemon will also get more hit points than their normal counterparts, which makes them far more resilient. What offsets all of these advantages is that the enemy is able to draw two prize cards instead of one when they are defeated, so they should be used carefully.

The new set will probably be well received by the community, as it contains new cards that will boost their decks and offer more intricate gameplay choices. However, not everything in thePokemon TCGscene is good news. A few players have recently complained about thereprint of the originalPokemon TCGset. Some fans are currently concerned it may be just an expensive collector’s item, like Wizards of the Coast’s recent stunt with overpricedMagic: The Gatheringcards. As Pokemon cards are getting increasingly expensive these days, there’s a chance that this may affect the price of rare ones even more.
