A fan has found a rather interesting glitch inPokemon Scarlet and Violetthat has altered the color of one of their main monsters. WhenPokemon Scarlet and Violetwas released in November 2022, the ninth-generation RPG racked up over 10 million sales in three days, becoming the fastest-selling game for Nintendo since it entered the video game market back in the 1980s.

In the months since their release,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have surpassed Sword and Shield’s sales in Japan, an impressive task as the previous generation has been on sale for the last 3 years. This means thatScarlet and Violetare currently on track to be one of the best-sellingPokemongames in the franchise’s history. This is despite the well-documented performance issues found within the Switch games.

Fieryfurnace999 has uploaded a video on Reddit showing a strange glitch that has turned their Miraidon gold. The short clip shows the player swapping out thePokemon Violetbox legendary from the party and sending it into its ride mode during a sandstorm, turning the legendary monster into an alternative shiny form. Sadly, Fireyfurnance later confirmed that the new sheen gradually faded, and Miraidon reverted to its usual purple hue, although the player noted that the monsters’ paws remained gold until they fast traveled to a new area.

This is the latest in a long line of bugs and glitches found in Gen 9 of the pocket monster games. Players are having fun sharing all sorts of strange quirks that they encounter throughout the Paldea region, with one fan recently finding thatan NPC shoots light out of her eyes inPokemonScarlet and Violet.

The state of the games has left some fans unhappy, with many mocking the sheer number of glitches that can be found in a single playthrough. This has led to the game being review-bombed on Metacritic and Nintendo having to issue a rare statement about the state of the game. The good news for fans is that Game Freak is busy working on apatch forScarlet and Violetthat is due in February, which players are expecting to fix the major issues with the game.

While this update is still in the works, gamers are readying themselves forthe next Tera Raid which will feature the fan-favorite Greninja. Starting from January 27, the seven-star Tera Raid Event has been confirmed to feature the final form ofPokemon X and Y’s starter, and it will be sporting the poison Tera-type.
