A new event is coming toPokemon GOstarring the Galarian form of Mr. Mime. Unlike Mr. Mime’s Kanto form, which has dual Psychic and Fairy-typing, Galarian Mr. Mime is a dual Ice and Psychic-type Pokemon.
The Galarian Mr. Mime event will begin on June 05, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. local time inPokemon GO. It will end on June 27, 2025 at 8:00 p.m., also in player’s local times.

In order to participate in main parts of this event and have access to the timed research tasks associated with it, players will need to buy aGalarian Mr. Mime EventTicket from the in-game store. It costs $7.99 USD and will guarantee an encounter with this new addition to the game. The ticket is now available for purchase.
Even if players do not purchase a ticket, they will be able to participate in some parts of the event. For example, all players will have special encounters when they use incense while the event is active. If playersuse an incense, the spawn rates of Jynx, Swinub, Spoink, Woobat, Cubchoo, and other Ice-type Pokemon are increased. In addition to this, spawn rates in general are increased more than usual when players use an incense.
With the start of this event, players will also be able to find shiny Cubchoo in the wild. This means that they can be evolved into shiny Beartic if players have enough Cubchoo candy. If players catch a Galarian Mr. Mime, they canevolve it into a Mr. Rimeif they have enough candies. This Pokemon is also a dual Ice and Psychic-type Pokemon.
While some players may not be keen on spending money to make sure theycatch a Galarian Mr. Mime, it is possible that this Pokemon will become region locked after the event’s completion. This is due to the Kantonian Mr. Mime being locked into only being found in Europe, making it likely that Galarian Mr. Mime will do the same. While it may return again in a future event, this may be many players' only opportunity to catch this Pokemon.
As time goes on, players should be expecting the last of the Galarian forms, last ofthe Unova Pokemon, and even more Kalos Pokemon inPokemon GO’s future. With winter hitting many players in the northern hemisphere, it also makes sense for players to see more Ice types around them in their neighborhood.
