One of the most popular creatures in the world ofPokemon,Eevee, has several different evolved forms that fans like to collect, and one creative Eevee enthusiast goes about altering the shiny forms of the Eeveelutions to make their colors better fit their designs. While the process of how shiny colors are determined has long been debated by members of thePokemoncommunity, there have been countless fan-made redesigns aiming to adjust some of the more aesthetically-questionable shinies.
Shiny Pokemon themselves have been a crucial partof the games since they were introduced inPokemon Gold and Silver, becoming a growing appeal for players ever since. While shiny Pokemon are functionally identical to normal ones, it’s their rarity that makes them so popular. Differentiated only by a divergent coloration that sets them apart from others of their species, shiny Pokemon have a whooping 1 in 4096 chance of appearing under normal circumstances. Despite their incredibly low spawn rate, shiny Pokemon are surprisingly common among avid fans of the games, with many shiny hunters taking advantage of certain methods to boost the odds of encountering them in the wild.

Despite how sought-after shiny Pokemon generally are, every species of Pokemon has its own shiny version, and it’s safe to say that not all of them are equally coveted. Some Pokemon feature shiny variations with nearly the same colors as the original, which has led many fans tounofficially redesign these shiny Pokemonover the years. One creative member of the community, known as Amsler101 on Reddit, shared in a post on the site some of their own recolors of Eevee and its many evolved forms to imagine what the shinies could look like instead. These designs include an Autumn-themed Leafeon, golden Flareon, and electric-blue Jolteon among others.
Eevee itself has become a mascot for thePokemonseries in its own right, due in no small part to theLet’s Go, Pikachu!andLet’s Go, Eevee!games, which allowed fans to journey around the Kanto region once again with either a special Pikachu or Eevee as their primary companion. The adorable evolution Pokemon has also been the subject of seemingly limitless fan art for as long as it’s been around for, with its incredible evolutionary potential inspiring many imaginative fans to create their owncustom evolved forms for the Pokemon.
Though Eevee has so far seen a total of eight official evolutions over the course of thePokemonfranchise’s long life, players sadlyhaven’t seen a new Eeveelution since Sylveonwas introduced inPokemon X and Yback in 2013. There are still more than a few types in the games that Eevee forms don’t take advantage of, leaving many fans hopeful that more Eeveelutions will appear in future titles.
