Since the dawn of video games fans have been using LEGO to recreate their favorite levels and characters. The tie between LEGO and video games got even stronger after theofficialMarioLEGO setswere released, and while there aren’t any officialPokemonLEGO sets, that hasn’t stopped fans from constructing famous characters and locales from the popular Nintendo series out of their favorite building bricks.

In fact, Reddit user Buscags1 has taken to thePokemonSubreddit to share their newest creation; a 1:1 micro-scale model of the Johto region from the Gameboy and Nintendo DSPokemongames. The pixelated graphics of the earlyPokemongamestranslate incredibly well to LEGO, and Buscags1 was able to transfer the design of the Johto region over to miniature plastic form with great faithfulness, especially considering the micro size of their set.

The houses in the incredible model are only 2 studs by two studs, but thanks to Buscags1’s incredible design it’s immediately clear what they are. The Pokemon Center is particularly inspired, with the tiny circular brick standing in for the iconic Poke Ball on the front of the building and the thin clear pieces making up the windows. With its clever use of small bricks, Buscags1’s design is truly among the coolestfan madePokemonLEGO setsconstructed.

FellowPokemonand LEGO fans in Buscags1’s Reddit thread have suggested the two properties partner up to make the set a reality. It may sound far-fetched, but aSonic the HedgehogLEGO setrecently became a reality after the fan-submittedSonicset was approved by both Sega and LEGO through the former’s LEGO Ideas program.

Buscags1’s set might grow to be too large to become an official LEGO set however, as the Redditor says they plan to expand the model until it encapsulates the entire Johto region. Just as size was no deterrent for the fan who made alife-sized replica of Destiny 2’s D.A.R.C.I out of LEGO, Buscags1 doesn’t seem phased by the momentous task at all.

Pokemonisn’t the only Nintendo property to get the LEGO fan treatment recently. Redditor Groobar made a fully functionalclock tower fromZelda: Majora’s Maskout of LEGOand another fan submitted aMetroidset to LEGO Ideas earlier this year with the hopes of getting the set made in an official capacity. As for Buscags1’s Johto region model, it will only continue to get more impressive as they continue to expand the region.
