Summary
PlayStationTrophies might soon be coming to PC, some newly surfaced evidence suggests. This addition would mark another notable milestone in the development ofSony’s PlayStation PC label.
The PlayStation maker started bringing its first-party titles to PC in summer 2020, when Guerrilla Games’Horizon Zero Dawnreached Steam. A year later,Sony acquired Nixxes to help with its PC porting efforts, on top of introducing the PlayStation PC label for categorizing such releases.

The company is now possibly looking into bringing its PC ports more in line with its console originals with the introduction of PlayStation PC Trophies. That’s according to TrueTrophies, a third-party tracker that recently scraped some data pointing to a newPlayStationTrophy platform called “PSPC.” Since Sony’s PC ports already offer achievements via Steam and Epic Games Store, the newly unearthed functionality might allude to cross-platform support for those unlockables via the PlayStation Network. A somewhat less likely explanation is that the PSPC moniker hints at a dedicated store for PlayStation PC games that Sony might launch in the future.
The newly surfaced platform reference isn’t attached to any particular title, making it unclear which PC ports could benefit from PlayStation Trophy support in the future. But the designation itself is believed to originate directly from Sony, not least because game developers don’t have the option of submitting their own platform labels to the PlayStation Network. Furthermore, the PSPC moniker was uncovered alongside a reference to the PS5, with the two being listed as part of a single “scanner platform.” TrueTrophies hence speculates that this pair of achievement sets will be mutually compatible.
This development isn’t the first indication of PSN Trophy support coming to Sony’s PC ports; back in August 2022, some dataminers foundevidence of PSN integration in the Steam version ofMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. And while offering cross-platform achievements that overlap with those of Steam or Epic Games Store would be a first for Sony, such a move would be far from unprecedented on an industry-wide level. After all, both Ubisoft and EA’s titles offered similar functionality for years, allowing players to simultaneously unlock achievements across multiple launchers.
Assuming PlayStation PC Trophies are indeed on the horizon, it’s likely that the feature would be rolled out retroactively to some—if not all—of Sony’s existing PC ports. There’s currently no shortage offormer PlayStation exclusives that can now be played on PC, with more being slated to launch in the near future. The next such release isHelldivers 2, which will debut on Steam on February 8 along with its PS5 version. Beyond that, Sony already confirmed thatHorizon Forbidden Westis also set to reach Steam sometime in 2024.
