Headlining the deals at the PlayStation Store’s Essential Picks Sale isBattlefield 2042. While it is no secret thatmany players were disappointed withBattlefield 2042, the 20% discount that PlayStation Store is offering may be a good incentive for players to try out the game. Unfortunately, it is worth mentioning that only the Ultimate and Gold Editions of the game are discounted, with the former available for $95.99 from $119.99 and the latter at $74.99 from $99.99. The Standard edition remains at full price.

The store is also currently offering a 25% discount onLife is Strange: True Colors - Ultimate Edition, dropping its price from $79.99 to $59.99 for both the PS4 and PS5. In addition, apart from single-player games, tons of discounted multiplayer titles are available such asDead by Daylight($11.99),Among Us($3.99), and more.

Lastly, the PlayStation Store’s Essential Picks Sale also includes tons of DLCs, expansion packs, and special editions for players to choose from.Dead by Daylightfans would probably want to pick up theResident EvilChapter, which adds Nemesis, Leon Kennedy, and Jill Valentine.Dead by Daylight’s Resident EvilChapteris available for $8.39 or 30% off its original price of $11.99 for PS4 and PS5. It is worth noting that the massive discounts offered by the Essential Picks Sale will only be available until July 28, 2025. The Essential Picks Sale launched shortly afterthe Big in Japanand Games Under $15 sale, both of which are still available at the PlayStation Store right now. Similar to Essential Picks, the Big in Japan Sale offers up to 75% off, but with Japanese-made or themed games such asMonster Hunter World, Nier: Automata, Judgment, The Evil Within, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot,and more. Additionally, the Big in Japan Sale is only going to be available until August 02, 2025, while Games Under $15 will close its doors on July 08, 2025.
