With the renewed interest in the series sequel, fans have been wondering aboutwhich returning mechanicswould make their way to the 6th installment of the series. Interesting ones from the past such as reverse social link and the most recent Thieves Den are ones that would be of worthy inclusion.
10Party Split
Party Split is a feature that was unfortunately abandoned after making its appearance inPersona 3 Portable. The feature enables the party members to split up and explore the dungeons by themselves. However, it also comes with the risk of theparty members facing the Shadows alone, which could causes trouble should they were under-leveled or under-equipped.
Should it be implemented inPersona 6, players would be able to explore dungeons with ease, with other potential features to be inserted in the mechanic as well to make it worthwhile using.

9Reverse Social Link
One missing feature from the recent installment of the series is the Reverse Social Link, which ensures the player is really careful when they are choosing dialogues to advance the social link’s level. Should the player chooses the wrong dialogue choice, the social link would be reversed, lowering the social link level or even breaking the link in process for some cases.
With the inclusion of the feature, social links in the gamewould be more engaging and realistic, as their choices would have lasting consequences should they are doing it recklessly.

8Weather Effects
Weather effects have been prominent ever since its inception inPersona 4. It mostly affects the dungeons and Shadows themselves, either weakening or strengthening them in the process. For example,Persona 4has the mechanic of only certain Shadows appearing on rainy days to highlight the importance of timing dungeon delves with the appropriate weather.

Persona 5 Royaltakes it a step further by having the weather directly affect the Shadows, such as making them afflicted with Despair statuswhile entering Mementoson Flu season.
7Baton Pass
Baton Pass has been hailed by players as one of the most satisfying feature introduced inPersona 5. Instead of just relying on one character, Baton Pass gave the player the freedom to use all of their playable characters by fully exploiting the Shadows' weaknesses. Instead of using just a fixedbest set of 4 charactersin the party, players could use all the characters at their disposal.
The feature itself shown its importance during boss fights as well, most notably inone of the most notorious boss fight inPersona 5, where the player has to utilize Baton Pass effectively to finish the battle.

6Thieves Den
Introduced inPersona 5 Royal, Thieves Den had become a hit among players since it functions both as a Gallery Mode and also a free-walk mode that enables the player to immerse themselves further in the game.
Instead of randomly scrolling the Gallery, players can interact with their favorite characters in a semi-4th-wall-breaking style. The card game Tycoon also can be quite refreshing to take a break after tense moments in the game, winding down with their favorite charactersand relaxing just like a real group of friends.

5Shadows Negotiations
Although players might have remembered the feature fromPersona 5 Royal, Shadows Negotiations had already existed back inPersona 2: Innocent Sin, where players would need to choose the right dialogue choices based on the Shadows' personality.
The feature allows the player to either take the Shadows as aPersona for themselves or ask for other options, such as money or rare items, as exemplified in the newer games. The dynamic nature of the feature would make every interaction with Shadows unique and lively.

4Impactful Books
Books having more impacts would certainly be a welcome sight in the upcomingPersona 6. Staring fromPersona 4, books have been prominent as a way to increase the main character’s Social Stat, enabling them toadvance further on social linksor even do actions which require certain Social Stats leveled up to a degree.

WithPersona 5 Royaltaking it further by having books impacting the gameplay on a larger scale, players can look forward on the ever-increasing impact of books on the sequels of the series.
3Shuffle Time
Although noticeably absent, or perhaps replaced by the Negotiation system inPersona 5, Shuffle Time remains one of the most interesting features of the series. InPersona 4 Golden, the mechanic allows players to choose between Arcana Cardsto have different outcomes in the gameplay.
The excitement and thrill the feature brings to the players make it a worthy inclusion for the sequels, as a player could luckily getone of the most powerful abilitieson their early Persona by the result of the Shuffle Time, should they find themselves in a lucky position.

2Technical
One recently added feature fromPersona 5 Royalwas Technical, which enables players to take advantage of status ailment inflicted on the Shadows. Certain damage types would deal extra damage and knock enemies down regardless of their affinity advantage with the right ailment, such as Nuclear damage to enemies with Sleep ailment.
Should it be implemented inPersona 6, Technical could open a lot more strategy and tactics while adding more emphasis and importance towards status ailments, instead of just focusing on pure raw damage.

1DLC Persona From Past Games
Another feature that would be interesting to add inPersona 6was the ability to have Personas from past games in the form of DLCs. Just like inPersona 5 Royal, it would be exciting to see the main character inPersona 6be able to wield their predecessors' Personas in battles.
However, the selections could also be expanded further instead of only being limited to the Persona of past protagonists. Other playable characters' Persona such asYukiko’s Sumeo-Okamior Goro Akechi’s Robin Hood is some of the interesting Persona that potentially could be included as DLC inPersona 6.
