Before delving into the console-specific differences, it is important to note thatPersona 5 Strikersis not a typicalPersonagame. Unlike the titles in the mainline series which are all turn-based JRPGS,Persona 5 Strikersis a Musou/Warriors game.
To those unfamiliar with the subgenre, Musou/Warrior games arehack and slash titlesdeveloped by Koei Tecmo where players face off against seemingly endless hordes of enemies. Some of the most prominent titles in the subgenre include theDynasty WarriorsandSamurai Warriorsseries.

Due to the fast-paced combat and number of enemies on screen, the framerate ofPersona 5 Strikersfluctuates much more frequently than it would in a typical Persona game. Depending on what console players are experiencingPersona 5 Strikerson, the fluctuation in framerate will be more or less significant.
On the PS5, players can expect to experiencePersona 5 Strikersat a locked 60 fps throughout the game with no framerate dips regardless of whether they select performance or resolution mode. Similarly, on the PS4 Pro if players select performance mode they will experience the title at 1080p resolution at a locked 60 fps with only minor framerate dips. In resolution mode on the PS4 pro, players can expect a 1440p resolution with a framerate that fluctuates between 40 and 50 fps. On the base PS4, players can expect a similar experience to the PS4 Pro, but with more frequent framerate dips in both modes.
Unfortunately, due to the system’s hardware capabilities, on the Nintendo Switch there is no option to select performance or framerate mode. Throughout the game, players can expect to experience a framerate that fluctuates between 25 and 30 fps regardless of whether the console is docked or undocked. While the Nintendo Switch version ofPersona 5 Strikersmay be lacking in resolution and framerate, this will be a non-issue for many gamers due to the portability tradeoff.
In most cases, if players are experiencingPersona 5 Strikerson a Playstation console, framerate mode seems to be the clear choice for this style of game. Despite the minor differences, players can expect an enjoyable experiencewith only minor technical hiccups across all platforms.
