Like all thebest television shows,Peaky Blindersalso has a diverse cast of characters. Almost all the major characters in the series are exceptional, and because of this some of the minor characters did not enjoy a great deal of screentime. They were pushed to the side and as result, their development was stagnated.

This left a sour taste in the mouth of some fans as these underused characters had a lot of potential and if used in the proper way, they could have been on par with the other characters. There are several charactersinPeaky Blinders, who could have used more screentime, and this list will take a look at the best of the bunch. Here are the characters who deserved more screentime.
7Jeremiah Jesus
Jeremiah fought in the First World War alongside Tommy Shelby. During the war, the two of them became comrades and their friendship continued even after the war was over. Normally, Jeremiah appears to be an ordinary preacher, but in reality, he helps Tommy by providing him with information.
As he was not officially linked to the gang, Jeremiah could keep an eye on things for Tommy. He also performed the wedding between Tommy and Grace. Despite his history with Tommy, Jeremiah’s role was kept to a minimum. The fans can’t help but feel that Jeremiah could have added a new dimension to the gang.

6Bonnie Gold
Bonnie Gold was the son of Aberama Gold, and like his father, Bonnie was extremely talented at killing. However, Bonnie also had a knack for boxing and Aberama wanted to make sure that his son would make a career in boxing.

Bonnie Gold showed a great deal of potential, and he could have played a bigger role in the series. With the help of his skill, the Peaky Blinders could have become a nationwide sensation. His time came to an end after he was killed by the Billy Boys.
5Johnny Dogs
It wouldn’t be a stretch to callJohnny Dogs Tommy’s best friendand closest aide. Johnny Dogs made his debut in the very first season of the show, and he managed to survive till the very end. Johnny Dogs is very loyal to Tommy and over the years, Tommy has entrusted him with some of the most important tasks in his life, and Johnny has always repaid the trust. Despite their closeness, Johnny was never given screentime, especially considering the jobs that he did for Tommy.
4Ada Thorne
As a character, Ada underwent many changes. Even though she is a Shelby, Ada did not agree with his brother’s ways, which is one of the few reasons why she decided to marry Freddie Thorne, who wasn’t afraid of Tommy and had different political views. Ada did not cut herself completely off from the family, but suffice to say, she could have been given more screentime.

She could have partnered with Tommy in the political game as she had very firm ideas. She is well-spoken and capable of getting the point across without much effort. Sadly, Ada’s role was limited. With a bit more freedom, Ada could have definitely proven to be a big help to Tommy.
3Inspector Moss
Inspector Moss is an ever-present character in the first few seasons ofPeaky Blinders. In the earlier seasons, Moss was working for the Peaky Blinders as he believed that the gang’s actions were for the greater good. He detested Campbell and his methods, and he was more than happy to side with Tommy and help him to achieve his goals.
However, in season 4, Moss announced that he was no longer working for the Peaky Blinders and every action taken by the gang would be severely reprimanded. He was eventually frozen out from the series, which is a shame as it would have been interesting to see what actions a changed Moss would have taken against the Peaky Blinders.

2Isiah Jesus
Isiah Jesus is the son of Jeremiah. Originally, Isiah planned to become an accountant, but after undergoing some career counseling, he had a change of heart and joined the Peaky Blinders. As Jeremiah’s son, he received special treatment from the Shelby family. He was taken in as a member, where he formed a solid friendship with Finn Shelby.
Isiah was also present at the table when Arthur and John met Vincente Changretta. Unlike Finn, Isiah is much more determined and carries out orders without fail. If he was given more work, there is no doubt that he would make sure that the job was complete.

1Finn Shelby
Finn is the youngest of the Shelby brothers, and because of this, he was not involved in the business early on. However, as the story continued to progress, Finn also grew up, and slowly he started to take part in the gang’s activities.
Finn’s involvement in the series still remained limited, and it was because of his inability to do the dirty work. Finn continued to make appearances, but he did not get the same amount of screentime as the rest of Shelbys. It would have been interesting to see where Finn could have fit in, especially afterJohn was killed by Luca Changretta’s men.
