OneOverwatch 2player has discovered a strange bug which allows Genji’s spirit dragon to remain visible while performing emotes - in this case, during Genji’s dance animation.Overwatch 2brought a lot to the table in terms of emotes and cosmetics, many of which are unlockable via the game’s new battle pass system.
For the newOverwatch 2players that may not be familiar with the character yet,Genji is a cybernetically-enhanced ninjahailing from Japan and is a member of the powerful Shimada family. He and his brother Hanzo each wield their own personal spirit dragons, which allow them to unleash devastating powers in battle through their Ultimate abilities. While Genji’s dragon may not be quite as obvious as Hanzo’s is, the new cosmetics added toOverwatch 2actually allow players to see Genji’s spirit dragon during one of his new emotes.

A Reddit user named OmegaReu discovered an odd glitch that allows this emote to combine with others, however. When Genji uses the emote to show off his equipped souvenir,he briefly unsheathes his Dragonblade- and players can use another emote during this animation to keep the spirit dragon floating around him. The clip features the user performing this trick with the dance emote, which results in the appearance of Genji dancing alongside his bright green dragon.
Players who favor Genji over the other heroes inOverwatch 2’s diverse character list may find the game’s first battle pass particularly appealing to them, as it introduces some awesome new cosmetics for everyone’s favorite cyborg ninja. Perhaps most importantly of all the cosmetics offered on the premium battle pass is the reward that players can earn by reaching the final tier, tier 80 - Genji’s Mythic-level Cyberdemon skin. This is the first and so faronly Mythic-quality item in the history ofOverwatch, and grants Genji a gnarly filter for his voice, alongside plenty of new lines of dialogue exclusive to the skin. On top of that, the Mythic skin is completely customizable, allowing for many different combinations and colors.
However, many of these cosmetics - including the Cyberdemon skin - are exclusive to the paid premium battle pass inOverwatch 2, a new addition that much of the community isn’t too happy with. While the accessibility of cosmetics and their prices in the shop remain to be one of the community’s biggest complaints, the recently-announced balancing patch only added fuel to the fireby announcing that Genji will be receiving a nerfalongside other heroes when the update releases on November 15th. This nerf will reduce Genji’s ammo capacity by 6 and his shuriken damage from 29 to 27, which has been a cause of upset for many high-ranking players.
Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
