This firstOverwatch 2PvP beta will be exclusive to PC gamers, but there will be future opportunities for those on other platforms to check it out. Blizzard has confirmed that it plans on hosting more beta tests beforeOverwatch 2’s launch, and that console gamers are figured into those plans. Exact details will likely have to wait until some time after the first beta on PC comes to a close on May 17.

Overwatch 2 Beta Date and Time

LuckyOverwatchfans that get an invite to the beta should note that progress made won’t carry into the full game. As it stands, Blizzard has not announced any kind ofOverwatch 2release date, and so fans should’ve expected that to be the case. And since theOverwatch 2PvP beta is just that - a beta - it will not be fully-featured as the original game, so don’t expectCompetitive modeor player endorsements.

WhatOverwatchfans can expect, however, is access to the new game mode Push as well as the chance to play asnew Damage hero Sojourn. Not only that, but theOverwatch 2beta will also give fans their first taste of what 5v5Overwatchis like. The switch from 6v6 to 5v5 matches is going to be a massive change to the say the least, and it will be interesting to see if Blizzard is able to pull it off. Feedback from the beta will no doubt prove valuable when it comes to adjustingOverwatch 2and ensuring that it launches in as strong a state as possible.
