Summary

Kingdom Hearts 4will almost certainly provide more Keyblades for Sora, and one Disney property could provide an especially interesting new option. Although they may not get as much spotlight as the Disney characters that Sora teams up with,Kingdom Heartswould not be the same without its Keyblades. Not only are they iconic to the series, but they provide a variety of advantages that make different Keyblades suited for different strategies in-game.Kingdom Hearts4’s Disney representatives are likely to bring new Keyblades as usual, but one has the potential for an interesting blade than most.

Players had plenty ofKeyblades available inKingdom Hearts 3, which is commonplace for the series. While Sora starts each main game with the Kingdom Key, he unlocks plenty of alternate Keyblades over the course of each game, most notably from the various Disney worlds that he travels through. Some keyblades offer small bonuses, such as the Jungle King fromKingdom Heartstrading critical hits for range. However, others like the recurring Ultima Weapon are extremely powerful compared to his initial weapon. The Keyblades not only make Sora andKingdom Hearts, but seeing what each new Keyblade looks like makes them fun to collect.

Kingdom Hearts 4 Could Get a Remarkable Keyblade from Encanto

Encantois a film that deserves some recognition ifKingdom Hearts 4pays tribute to newer properties. There are a lot of recent Disney entries that would make for excellentKingdom Heartsworlds, such asOnwardandThe Owl House. However,Encantomay have one of the best arguments for involvement. Whether it be Casita itself or the Colombian village nearby, the film has strong possibilities for a level that players could explore. However, the true worthiness ofEncantolies in the Madrigals and their multiple magical powers. More specifically, their respective powers could influence a Keyblade hailing from the world ofEncanto.

There are an incredible amount of ways thatEncantocould have an effect onSora’s Keyblade inKingdom Hearts 4. For example, Pepa’s weather-control powers could manifest in a boost to thunder magic, or perhaps new combos involving tornados and lightning strikes. Another possibility would be Luisa’s magically-enhanced strength, which could create a keyblade with shorter combos, but greatly increased damage. Even Bruno’s future sight could be incorporated into a Keyblade, granting the player increased ability to dodge and counterattack enemies with predictive powers. Any of these options would make for a cool Keyblade variant, andEncantocould put all of them on the table.

If the developers got particularly bold, anEncantoKeyblade could have the opportunity tobreak aKingdom Heartstraditionwith its effects. Rather than simply having one ability,Encanto’s Keyblade could heavily change Sora playstyle. For example, a take on Camilo’s shapeshifting could see Sora transforming into Heartless and using their attacks. Likewise, granting the powers of Isabela or Antonio could let the player use the Keyblade summon plants or animals to defend them, respectively. It could be a chance to make a Keyblade unlike any other in the series, which may be too interesting an idea forKingdom Hearts 4to pass up.

Giving Sora the chance to visit theEncantouniverse has the potential to add something very interesting to the next chapter ofKingdom Hearts' franchise timeline. While a storyline taking Sora to Colombia to fight the Heartless alongside the Madrigals would be exciting, whatever Keyblade would come out of the experience would be the big reward from the experience. There is an incredible amount of possibilities, particularly involving ideas thatKingdom Heartshasn’t tried before.Encantomay be able to give Sora one of his most unique Keyblades yet inKingdom Hearts 4.
