This week, Animate Café announced on its official Twitter page that it will be collaborating withDECOTTOto bringNieR Automata Ver1.1ato its Ikebukuro location, in promotion for the anime series. As Japan has finally opened up again to tourists, and given that Tokyo is one of the more popular destinations for tourism, plenty of fans will have the opportunity to attend and enjoy what goods 2B and 9S have planned for us.
Additionally, Raku Spa also has a collaboration with the series, and has more than one location participating in the event. Both collaborations will offer a variety of food and exclusive merchandise.

On the food service side of things, Animate Café will offer character themed dishes and drinks. While the menu has yet to be released, going by previousNieRthemed collaborations with the Square Enix Café, we may see a return of signature dishes, such as a Devola and Popola themed pizza, and a small cake with Emil’s face on it.
Exclusive goods will also be sold as well, with a definite inclusion of acrylic stands of 2B and 9S in their promotional garbs. The restaurant will only take lottery reservations from its opening, March 8th to March 12th. From March 13th onward, all customers will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. The promotional event will last until April 10th.
A bit more accessible in terms of nation-wide availability, Raku’sNieR Automata Ver1.1acollaboration provides anime themed baths,food, and of course, plenty of goods to choose from. Raku Spa’s menu offers 6 different character themed drinks, 2 2B meal bowls, 2 9S dishes, an A2 ramen bowl, Commander themed porridge and rice, and 2 6O and 21O parfaits, respectively. On the goods side of things, they are selling character-themed pins, towels, bags, shirts, acrylic stands, and more. For every 2000 yen, visitors get a free bookmark.
Character-themed baths with unique scents, will also rotate at different dates, so you’re able to have a chance to enjoy a bath withall of them individually. 2B will make her debut from February 21st to February 23rd, and March 5th to March 9th, with a yogurt scent. 9S will have his turn from February 24 to February 26th, and March 16th to March 18th, with a sweet mint scent. And lastly A2 will be making her rounds from March 2nd to March 12th, and March 19th to March 21st, with oriental scents. In addition to this, the bath will be decorated in accordance with the character’s theme, a large decorative panel of the character included. If you’re looking for some special treatment and want the full experience, you also have the option to upgrade your stay, to get a complimentary poster with your purchase.

All participating establishments will be in the following regions: Tohoku, Kanto, Tokai, Hokuriku, and Kinki, with 15 prefectures hosting the event, in total. For Tokyo patrons, the closest one will be in Akihabara; the next city over from Animate Café in Ikebukuro.
The 2023 anime seasonis off to a strong start, and many long time fans of theNieRseries are being treated to lots of content, especially in these next two months. Though it isstronglyrecommended that reservations are either made in advance or patrons come to the establishments as soon as they open for business for the day, if you happen to be in the area.
