WhileNew Tales From the Borderlandsis not a particularly long game, it does have some replay value. Aside from unlocking all the outfits, unlocking all the achievements/trophies, and seeing other endings,New Tales From the Borderlandsplayers have several reasons to come back for another playthrough. But to expand the experience further, Gearbox also included a series of collectibles for players to find.
These collectibles are called Vaultlanders, and they are figurines of various popular characters from the entireBorderlandsseries. Excluding Pre-Order bonuses and Vaultlanders acquired through Shift Codes, there are 16 Vaultlanders that can be obtained. This guide will show players wherethese Vaultlanders can be found.
There are three Vaultlandersin the first episode.
Vaultlander in Episode 2
Unlike the previous episode, there is only one Vaultlander to be found. The Zane Vaultlander can only be obtained if playerswin the first Vaultlander Battle. The first battle is a mandatory part of the story, soNew Tales From the Borderlandsplayers can’t miss it.
Vaultlanders in Episode 3
There are two Vaultlandersin the third episode. They can both be obtained during the free-roam sections with Anu near the beginning and the end of the episode. However, in order to obtain these Vaultlanders,players will need to defeat Superfan to get them.These encounters are optional, so it is very easy to miss them if players focus too much on the main objective rather than exploring.
Vaultlanders in Episode 4
The fourth episodeofNew Tales From the Borderlandshas four Vaultlanders for players to find.
Vaultlanders in Episode 5
Excluding the ones related to the ending, there are two Vaultlanders inthe fifth and final episodeofNew Tales From the Borderlands.
The Remaining Vaultlanders
The final four Vaultlanders are obtained depending on several factors in the ending. The Vaultlander figurines of Lilith, Ellie, and Fiona are obtained based on how high the relationship between the characters was at the end.If the relationship was at 50% or higher, players will obtain a Vaultlander for each relationship that met that criteria.
The Vaultlander figurine of Zer0can only be obtained if the team earned a Skateboard score of 75% or higher.If players get all 16 Vaultlander figurines, they will unlock the achievement/trophy for collecting all Vaultlanders.
