She-Hulk’s origin story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been different from the comics so far. Marvel Studios has now released a new teaser trailer for the second episode that hints at the origins of her superhero name, and it seems like the studio is taking a different route this time around as well. While Tatiana Maslany’s titular character obviously has the same name as the comics, her journey is unique.

The first episode ofShe-Hulkintroduced the latest character to join the MCU, and took fans on a quick journey to explain her origins. Based on the new teaser trailer revealed by Marvel Studios, the second episode of the series will offer insight into how Walters' alter ego came to be known as She-Hulk. The 15-second teaser also promises more scenes withMark Ruffalo’s Smart Hulk, which means his efforts to help his cousin will most likely continue throughout the series.

The teaser trailer begins with Banner asking Walters, “So what did they end up naming you?” Towards the end of the first episode ofShe-Hulk, Maslany’s Jennifer Walters has to reveal her superhero side to the world in order to protect several innocent people fromJameela Jamil’s Titania. With many individuals now being aware of how she can Hulk out, it was inevitable that people would begin to label her. Having been a hero much longer than her, Banner knows that his cousin would have been given a superhero name by the crowd. “She-Hulk,” Walters responds, not looking too pleased with her new name.

Soon the name begins to spread and is even used by journalists as they report of Walters' successes as a hero. “It’s got a nice ring to it,” reassures Banner, who has been referred to as Smart Hulk by people for being able to control his two alter egos. “That name better not stick,” states She-Hulk, but as fans already know, it will.

Thefirst episode ofShe-Hulkshows Maslany’s Walters get into a car accident, with her cousin Bruce Banner in the passenger seat. As the two try to escape the wreckage, an injured Banner tries to warn his cousin to stay away from him, but his blood drips onto an open wound on Walters' arm and the infusion occurs. The narrative is entirely different in the comics, though.

In writing, Walters gets shot by some goons working for a mobster who had killed her mother years before. Banner comes to her rescue, and volunteers for a blood transfusion to save her life. When the goons try to attack Walters again, she turns green and is dubbed She-Hulk by one of her attackers. That’s how the name sticks. It remains to be seen how much more of Walters' journey will be altered in the series.
