In the manga, with the Dark Continent on the horizon, Togashi has used the journey to the Dark Continent as the grounds for where the current Succession Contest arc takes place.

On the Black Whale, Nasubi is seenas an overseer of the succession battle. However, the emperor is shown to have an ulterior motive when his daughter Momoze dies, with her body being placed in an unknown ritual of Nasubi’s design.

Queen Oito is the mother of the fourteenth Prince Woble, with the young prince only being a baby. Despite Oito’s wish to leave the succession war, the queen and her son are forced to compete, leading to their inclusion on the Black Whale. After hiring Kurapika to be a bodyguard,the Queen establishes a lot of faith in Kurapika’s judgmentas she enables him to take the reign among her staff.
Due to Kurapika using his Nen ability on Oito, her Nen nodes have been awakened, allowing the Queen to learn Nen. Oito has even used a Nen ability thanks to Kurapika loaning Little Eye to Oito, enabling her to spy on other princes.

Creepy Clown Intent On Getting Revenge On Chrollo And The Spiders
Thecreepy clown Hisoka has endureda lively few months in theHunter x Huntermanga, going from a highly anticipated battle to becoming the spider’s greatest enemy. After his fatal loss to Chrollo Lucilfer at Heavens Arena, Hisoka revives himself using Nen, with his new intent being on killing all the Phantom Troupe members.
With the Phantom Troupe aboard the Black Whale, Hisoka joins the voyage, seeking to destroy the group while the Troupe simultaneously attempts to find Hisoka. Due to beingbound to the succession ritual set up by Emperor Nasubi, Halkenburg decides to get involved in the war, with his Nen ability becoming unstoppable due to the faith his followers show in his leadership.

As the first prince, Benjamin possesses the most power, with the Emperor’s firstborn having significant control over the royal army of Kakin.In the manga, Benjamin is depicted as a brashand aggressive persona. However, he is aided by his deputy, Balsamilco, who manages Benjamin when his bloodlust and aggression start to show.
In the succession war, Benjamin has a significant advantage over his siblings, with the prince being allowed to station a guard to each prince, allowing Benjamin to gain information that may lead to his victory.
